shhhhhhhhhhhh just breaking the site again don't mind me

very, very, very experimental fic continues its slow progress as the deadline for bicyclette's sci-fi contest draws near. these chapters are about on-par with what if in terms of length, but oh boy have they been an interesting experience to write.

hey hey btw i've got a (couple of) public minecraft server(s)!

yeah so anyway here is my webbed site lol. there's an MC Classic server for building whatever, and an MC Beta 1.7.3 server for playing survival. I might eventually also put up a modern vanilla server as well, though given how I'm hosting a bunch of servers already for friends and a couple of discord servers, idk if the little slab of a PC I'm using to host 'em all would be able to manage lol.

summer break is almost here :V

basically got one week left lol. got an experimental fic in the works that's a sort-of direct sequel picking off right where Splintershard ended. no prior reading is necessary.

MAN it's been a while since I've toyed with writing styles.

Well golly-gee, it's been quite a while, hasn't it?

Random Fact: For the first time in nearly a decade, AMD is actually beginning to see a higher market share than Intel in certain areas of the world.

Thoughts & Opinions~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Never take what you think you know for granted. 10th grade is certainly telling me that.

I went from breezing through Secondary Math Honors Advanced 1 in 9th grade to struggling in Advanced 2 over the course of a single year. How? Because I went from advanced algebra to a mash of both algebra and pre-calculus. It's a good thing that my teacher lets me stay after school ends to get help, or I'd be doomed when test day comes 'round.

Even though I'm Asian, that doesn't mean that I'm automatically perfect at speaking languages like Chinese. I already (somewhat) speak the Cantonese dialect at home since it's basically what I grew up speaking alongside English, but since Mandarin is the standard dialect of Chinese, I've found myself in a Chinese class in high school. Not that I'm complaining. So far it's been quite easy since there's still many similarities between the dialects.

Speaking of which, my Chinese class is coincidentally taught by the same teacher as my Chinese Saturday-class back when I was in elementary school. We both just kinda awkwardly eyed each other on the first day, and ever since then I've pretty much become her class assistant since I already know how she teaches. And yes, I pretty much forgot 3/4 of everything she taught back when I was in elementary school.

Geez, I can just go on and on about how I already know my Chinese teacher, can't I?

Continuing on... her teaching style hasn't changed one bit, and honestly, Chinese class is actually quite a nice break from high school, 'cause she still teaches exactly like she did back when she was dealing with kindergartners and grades 1-3 back at the Saturday class.

Basically, Chinese class is like being in Kindergarten again. Complete with the dancing and singing. And terribly cringey rhyming sessions. Still, it's a nice break from the seriousness of 10th grade.

(Also, my Chinese teacher's son may or may not have given me his old electric scooter a few years back. My mom is friends with her, so we occasionally find ourselves meeting and talking. Yes, it's gonna be more awkward than ever now.)

Overall, 10th grade has been going relatively smoothly, my grades are soaring high, (save for PE, which I currently have a B- in because I forgot my gym clothes on the first day), and I've been able to work out a pretty decent schedule. Except there's not exactly much, if any, time currently in that schedule for writing anything.

I got a new phone, of which while being nice and speedy and NOT laggy, has a horrible problem with overheating and subsequently thermal-throttling to the point of being slower than even my old phone. The solution? I made an aluminum-foil heatsink to dissipate the heat faster, and surprisingly, it works well. VERY well.

My writer's block has mostly been long-gone for the past few weeks, it's just that I haven't really had the time to actually write it down. I have the ideas and all, but instead of taking my little bit of spare time that I have today to get it written, I'm writing this massive blog that's probably longer than many of the chapters I write. Meh.

Ever try developing Android apps without even knowing how to use the compiler or even where to put the code? Yeah, it's painful. But hey, it's a learning process.

My friends and I are planning on going to the MLP movie premier next month.

Mah sweet-sixteenth is comin' soon, but just like pretty much all of my friends, I have literally nothing planned for it. Birthday parties have kinda become overrated and repetitive for me. I'll probably just go hang out with my friends at the arcade or something. Or go running wild through the house like last year's birthday. During which my bed was utterly destroyed by my friends jumping on the thing. Don't worry, I've long since replaced it.

I have a feeling that spending half an hour collecting your thoughts to spew onto a massive life-status update should be long enough. I'll (maybe) post another blog soon. Maybe.

As a high school junior, I feel okay saying that high school sucks, dating is overrated, and most of the students are just obnoxious. I wish you luck in this trying experience.

My math was hard for me, the only real reason I passed was cause I went after school every day to do work and try and understand the material. My final grade was a failing one, but my teacher felt it unfair that all the work I put in was for nothing.
