New Steven Universe Theory

So, regarding one of the latest episodes of SU, a lot of stuff has to be considered, when trying to figure out how Pink Diamond was shattered.

First, how did her entourage(?) not warn everyone of the attacker? Rose Quartz couldn't have gotten close enough to actually strike her down.

Second, how should Rose have shattered her? We know that the attacker used a giant sword and swords for Rose are, at most, medium-siced. We can see a giant sword just off the coast of Beach City in Ocean Gem and I believe it could be the right size. However, only a gem as big as the Diamonds or Alexandrite could use it. Then again, ROSE QUARTZ is said to have been the attacker, not a fusion.

Third, why was Yellow Diamond so aggressive during the trial? The alleged "most logical strategist in the universe" was very quickly consumed by her emotions. In fact, she wants to see the Earth wiped out entirely, despite the obvious potential it has. Even to the point of creating a (probably) uncontrolable geo-weapon that would have most likely come for homeworld next. She seemed so sure that it was Rose Quartz that it was almost suspicious. Some may argue that the saw her authority undermined and that she just wants to take revenge on the entire planet, but what if she just wanted to create a scapegoat and wanted to cut ties with everything related to the incident. She does have the authority to influence Pink's entourage and the ability to shatter her.

Fourth thing to consider, Pink Diamond seemed to like humans. She created a utopia for them and wanted to keep them away from any harm. And she was trying to destroy their planet. These two don't go together. What if she decided to cancel the colony and some gem decided to temove her from the equasion for stepping out of line.

So in short, I came up with three theories.

First, Rose, Garnet and Pearl fused and snuck up on Pink, then shattered her, de-fused and only Rose was seen in the aftermath.

Second, Pink Diamond wanted to stop the colonization of Earth and Yellow got into a fight with her, accidently or willingly shattering her.

Third, the second one again, but with White Diamond and Yellow is trying to cover for her.

I admit that the last two don't explain why Garnet and Pearl don't know anything about it, but it's a start.
