Well, in between editing and posting chapters for my latest story, I found time to see the new TMNT film in theaters and thought I'd give my opinion on it...for those who are actually interested in that sort of thing. So, here it is, my review for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

Well, EQD had a post of the EQG shorts, in English!
And as such, I watched them. I will not, however, be doing anything in-depth. Why, do you ask. Because I'm lazy.
Anyway, beware of spoilers below the break.
I'm researching juniper, and apparently the juniper berry symbolizes the following:
Juniper: Protection, Anti-theft, Love, Exorcism, Health.
Anti-theft, huh? 
So, last night I went to see "First Man". It's a movie about:
(1) a man who can't deal with his own emotions, and really can't deal with other human beings when under stress;
(2) how wide Claire Foy can dilate her pupils; and
(3) how Buzz Aldrin was a completely gratuitous dick, even more so than history records.
The 2005 Pride and Prejudice film with Keira Knightley is toooo good. 
I've seen it before, and I liked it then, but for some reason it's better the second time around.
Can't wait for P&P Zombies of course. 
Look at all the fluid animation, look at the charm! Everything's in theme, and it's gorgeous and it's only the first three minutes.

Also 'Smile?' with Twilight twitching will be a thing too. It's too good to pass up.

My Little Pony: The Movie (2017)

The most disappointing thing about this film is that with a few tweaks, it could be something spectacular, extending beyond the limits of the show into new territory. As is, My Little Pony: The Movie is only average at its best, dumbed down from the show at worst. It feels like a flashier version of a two parter.

Who'd have thought that the Star Wars movie I was most apprehensive about would turn out to be my absolute favorite out of the new series? 
Set some time between Episodes III and IV, Solo is a story that few thought needed to be told: the origins of Harrison Ford's cocky smuggler Han Solo. Where did he come from? How did he meet the mighty Chewbacca? How did he get the starship Millennium Falcon?
I flew to Los Angeles and back this week*, and watched several movies on the plane.
I'm on record talking shit about people who only watch TV/Anime/movies—never reading—and then inflict prose upon the New Column. However, that's not to say there aren't great writing lessons to be learned from movies, so long as it's part of a balanced, good-prose-heavy diet.

10/10—the standard rating; awesome with a couple of flaws
