Marked a few things here and there to rewrite in the original fiction, but it's not nearly as much rewriting that I need to do as with Into Equestria.
Speaking of which, I still haven't gotten started on the next chapter yet.
look at the first few seconds and at 0:17. Either that is a very good cosplay of Daring, or that is Derring.
I'm just going to assume the latter for now.
I'm working on a CYOA, and I've come to realize that the scope is great enough that I'll never finish it as long as I'm the only person working on it. As such, I'm looking for writers to help with the project. I have the main story designed, but those who assist will be given some degree of creative freedom, I just have the final stay as I'm the leader of the project. If you're interested, comment here and link to a piece of sample writing of yours, and if I think you're a good fit I'll PM you
Threw this psychotic thing together. Lyrics are all from 3 of The Count of Monte Cristo songs from the musical. I own nothing.
(Yes, I didn't color this text. I'm too tired. Sorry.)
The world is a place where the villains wear a smile on their face
While they take what you can never replace
Stolen moments gone forever
And everyday shuffles by like the day before
On its way to the blackest of skies
And everyday a little death comes and paces the floor
That's right. The title of this blog is not lying.
You can buy a little Aragón now.
...With that, of course, I mean that you can buy a little piece of me, because I POUR MY SOULD AND BLOOD IN EVERY STORY I WRITE. I don't mean you can purchase a miniature spaniard that talks really fast. I'm sorry. I'm really, really sorry. I know that's been your dream for decades, but science hasn't got that far yet. Give it time.
This is a scrapped rewrite of the section of the chapter I was working on that got partially wiped because I was being smol brain and didn't save before turning off my tablet. I rewrote it a second time in a way that I preferred over this version, so I'ma post the scrapped content here.
Spoiler alert: this snippet is relevant to Pony-Me's plot. If you're fine with potential spoilers, feel free to check it out below the break.
The story has reached parity with the chapter "Find yourself." from Pony-Me. Instead of the infodumping that was just showing the diary entries outright, the chapter in the original fiction instead puts Lisa's backstory into story form, piecing together the entries through Lisa as she reads them, letting the reader see a clear picture of who she was in the past.
I've got another Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Romance in the works, this one starring Princess Luna. It's a lot longer than the prequel (I'm currently about half done and sitting at 5k words already), with many more possible choices to make and quite literally dozens of unique paths to take through the story. It even has a secret ending!
Just hyping it up here. Expect a release early this week (ie, before the end of the month).
Seriously, don't you go blind from doing that or something?
On a sadder note, apparently some big gay pride event happened and I did not write a single lesbian shipfic... or any other sort of story for that matter during that timespan. Clearly, I am a failure as a shipper.
Stories: The Path of Destinies may have a dopey name, but it is presently free on Steam. While I don't mention stuff like this too often, I thought it was worth calling this one out for a few reasons:
1) You are a bunch of incorrigible furries, and it is a game entirely populated by anthropomorphic animals.
So today I took the time to pen the story of how I became a mommy because I was inspired by a story I read online. I realized that I certainly should post it here, to give some context with what I write. I hope you all enjoy my story, and that it touches somebody out there. Enjoy.
There is so much in our lives that is negative.
My dad once told me a better way of making enchiladas after I spoke to him at home. I noticed he doesn't use Old El Paso kits, nor does he (or the other thing) season the meat while they're cooking. When I asked him what he uses, he said he uses wraps from the shop. So I tried it and what do you know, I liked it. Not used to how floury and soft they are compared to the tortillas you get in the packs, but not bad.
Bad Horse's latest article brought up a lot of good points about common unintended themes in genre fiction, and when he got to Horror, the blood drained from my face. Here's what he said:
Hello to all of ya'll who actually read these things
In previous blogs, I have mentioned that I am making a fic based in the universe of The Last Pony on Earth but I have decided to redo how I start it out and to put it bluntly I need survivors for a small group in DC
Hey everyone out there in poneland.
Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Been busy with a bunch of stuffs. One of which is the awesome Choose Your Own Adventure style fic: Monster's Curse by the talented Jumbled Thought.
Hey folks,
I just hit the Submit button on my latest comedy, a story about the difficulty of overcoming addiction and its toll on your friends and family.
Or something like that. I mean, look, this isn't a science.
This seemed like a good idea at the time, but you are now having more regrets than ever. You reminded yourself that all you had to do is stand there and wear armor. That's it, easy bits. Not even work when you think about it.
“This is a special moment in history, I'm going to be the first female guard ever,” you remind yourself. It wasn't working well as you still didn't want to go. Like a filly who doesn't want to go to school. But you have to, you already agreed to this.
