So I got the eyes to render properly. · 4:59am Feb 4th, 2019
They still don't work correctly in Maya, but they work pretty well in Blender.
I'll probably post a higher-quality render of Lisa at some point.

Lisa, sadly, has to abandon her oatmeal.
More specifically, my daily driver PC and my secondary workstation PC that I restored after picking it up from a thrift store.
4K Blender Renders coming soon! (and maybe an animation in the future?)
Remember how there was that plan snippet about Lisa abandoning her oatmeal?
Yeah. I just finished writing that part.
Hmm... I wonder what R.W. is short for?
Lisa, just like Zoey, is a classic character of mine that's existed all the way back to when I first started seriously writing. Originally, Lisa was Zoey's younger sister, and really had almost no plot presence whatsoever other than to give Zoey a little sister. Personality-wise, Lisa started off pretty much as a carbon-copy of Zoey, being a sort of "mini-me" to her older sister at the time.
Beyond HD quality, but I forgot to add lighting.
EDIT: apparently Fimfiction breaks with the massive image. Here's a direct link: https://i.ibb.co/v3gN64h/Lisa.png
This one has lighting but is at a lower resolution simply because I didn't want to spend time waiting for my Core i5 2400 to finish rendering a >4k image a second time.
The story has reached parity with the chapter "Find yourself." from Pony-Me. Instead of the infodumping that was just showing the diary entries outright, the chapter in the original fiction instead puts Lisa's backstory into story form, piecing together the entries through Lisa as she reads them, letting the reader see a clear picture of who she was in the past.
It's unfinished for now, but here's what we've got so far!

Man. Two friends.
Two. Three, if she counted her brother. There weren’t very many others she knew that she could really count as anything more than acquaintances, either.
Oh well.
1 comment = 1 F for Lisa.
S H E M O V E S.
Might've popped her thumb up a bit too quickly though, but I'm still practicing.
Also, have a nice neutral-color wallpaper I made while working on reflective surfaces in Blender.

There. Now y'all know what she looks like.
Lisa stood up, letting out a heavy sigh. New day, new things to do. She walked to the door and opened it.
“Took you long enough,” Timothy snickered. “I was thinking just now that I might have to barge in on you again.” He paused, looking over his sister. “…Actually, before we meet up with Sam, do you wanna head over to town hall and clean yourself up a bit? Grab some breakfast or something? You look like crap.”
Wow. Way to keep it subtle.
(they aren't quite there yet lol)
have I ever told yall how interesting it is to write the same scenes twice, each for a different context?
there's parts here and there that line up. bits of dialogue, an action or two. but aside from that, the wholly independent contexts that the story segment exists in makes the very concept of the scenario interesting to work on.
Pony-Me™
Twilight thought it was all so real-- the crisp morning air, the warmth of the rising sun, the ponies that went about their day-- it all seemed real to her. Yet, with the breaking of a single connection, everything comes crashing down, leaving a very confused girl wearing a VR headset.
