I have very sad news. It is confirmed that Season 9 will be the last season of G4 MLP FIM. That's right, Hasbro is going to kill G4 MLP FIM at the end of this year.

And it is also confirmed that there will be a new MLP movie coming in the year 2021 and it would most likely be a G5 MLP movie since it will not be a sequel to My Little Pony: The Movie 2017.

After I made those last three crossover videos not too long ago, I frequently brainstormed what I wanted to have MLP (G5) crossover with next. As I carefully considered the options, it occurred to me that a video showing the Main 5 getting scared by a compsognathus from the "Jurassic" franchise would be an awesome thing to create, and it seemed like it'd be really fun too. So, I used a clip featuring a compsognathus from "Jurassic Park: The Lost World" and mixed it in with moments of the Main 5

The year 2022 is rather significant for me as a My Little Pony fan. Why? Because it marks 10 years since I first gave Friendship is Magic a watch and got into the adventures of Equestria's cartoon equine heroines and heroes. With that, as well as the fact that the beginning of the G5 My Little Pony series (following last year's prologue movie) is right on the horizon, I have to pay my respects. Nothing ultra fancy or anything, just a timely time to do a full rewatch of the show that created

Whether this'll be an entirely new movie tying into G5 or a sequel to the 2017 movie isn't stated, but hey, exciting nonetheless!
That's when Hasbro says The My Little Pony Movie, as it's thrillingly titled, will be released. (Tweet here.) Assuming the rumours of a long post-S5 hiatus prove to be true, that strongly suggests that S6 will be the final season of Friendship is Magic, at least in the form we know it today. Whether we go to G4.5 or a full-reboot G5 after that, who knows? But it's going to be interesting to find out.
