The comics are much more pony lore in depth.... the tv show is not cannon anymore and that's what I believe. With Season 9 supposedly the last season of G4, the doors for canon may close, depending what G5 does. It saddens me, but at least we can still continue to carry on the spirit of the show that gave me so much inspiration.

Can't say I'm that surprised, or sad to see it go. I mean, I stopped watching around Season 4, mostly due to my personality and interests changing.
