This isn't really a comment on your list, but I'm gonna say it anyway because it's something that is really making me mad.
Those dragons are just big ponies with their horns pointing backwards instead of forwards... the design choice is not only boring and creatively bankrupt, but honestly feels incredibly lazy.
Especially that last picture... she doesnt look intimidating or anything like that... she just looks like she needs to sneeze but it didn’t come out and now she's mad about it...
This could be just a necessity because of the extremely limiting style of the 3d animation... but I don't particularly care as that is another issue not an excuse.
That could also be on purpose to smooth out the dragons for the little kids watching... but I'm almost certain it's to save money and make animation process quicker. Let the computer do most of the work.
Don't know about the personalities... still haven't bothered to watch any more of gen 5.
Smolder, Spike (Minus G5), and Ember are definitely my favorite dragon characters. The others, meanwhile…not so much.
