As my surgery pain fades, my libido surges, so it’s time for me to keep a promise and return to the Unleash the Magic series in the leadup to Halloween anniversary of Nightmare Night. And that means, both it and Midnight Rising are going to be worked on almost exclusively over the next several weeks.
Well, folks, I’ve been writing a lot over the past week, but I’ve been splitting my attention between the next Midnight Rising chapter and Feathered Hearts. The former was coming frustratingly slowly as I couldn’t seem to find the correct angle for it, while the latter was coming quite quickly. I was working on the next main story chapter and thought it might be ready within days.
Sorry for the dearth of blog entries of late, and for my online friends, sorry to be scarce. The reason is that I remain rather moody right now, perhaps due to a higher-than-normal testosterone dose that seems to have thrown me for a bit of a loop. I asked for it as an experiment, but maybe it’s just too much of a good thing. Also not helping is continuing difficulties at work, though I’m pleased to report that the release I’ve been working on for well over a month was finally performed
I’m giving it enough time to finish prereads and a couple more editing passes, as well as making a T-rated version once I’m satisfied with the M-rated one. The title is simply Reunions for now, unless I find something better. Meanwhile, the second half of the previously enormous chapter I broke off from it is now approaching 11k words. I’ll aim to have it draft complete this weekend, and launch it a week after the first half. So you’ll get a two C&C chapters in (relatively) quick

A fresh chapter of Feathered Hearts - C&C is on the way within days. I find the words for it coming a lot more readily than Harmonic Resonance, whose climactic chapter remains unfinished at a whopping 16k words and is very likely at this point to be broken up again. But I’ll address that separately, as C&C appears to be giving me the break from HR I need.
Those of you that actually pay attention to the drivel that runs out of my head and onto the screen on occasion know that I love my metaphors. Metaphors are a great way to talk about things without actually talking about them. After a turkey week break from work that wasn’t a full week (had to work Monday) or very restful due to travel, I’m back on the job, both in the office and writing the new C&C chapters. Yes, chapters, as with the total length of this thing now approaching 24,000 words, I’m going to have to break it up one last time. That’s just too long for an adult chapter, even a climactic one. And yes, even one chock full of lore and worldbuilding goodies.
In Ms. Glimmer and the Do-Nothing Prince, Starlight is constantly learning about friendship, and, now, suddenly, love. When things happen in the story and she ends up saying "I felt my heart open," she finds the sensation as confusing as it is profound. This feeling isn't a metaphorical something made up for the story. This is something that I, the author, feel and learned to make happen at will.
The first chapter draft for C&C is off to prereaders, weighing in at a whopping 17,775 words. So far I’ve gotten one of those prereads back with another in progress, and the initial feedback is favorable. As I’m still picking at it and slipping stuff in, it’s likely going to be approaching 19,000 or more words when all is said and done. But I don’t think I’ll reduce its size by splitting it this time. It’s a climactic chapter, so even as a clop chapter, it will be of climatic chapter length.

Well... I got a new story idea for a new displaced story that I want to write. It's like this...
Heyo, folks. Just wanted to let you know that the next Eros chapter is now with prereaders. Weighing in at 10,000 words, it's actually a little light on sex after the initial section, but as the reason involves some character development and worldbuilding, hopefully you won't mind too much. But that's not the only thing I wanted to mention.
To thank everyone who replied on my previous blog. The outpouring of support I received was very much appreciated, and very much needed for the mood I was in. My main goal with writing PVCF app stories was to include as many characters as possible, with a particular focus on G1 & G3 characters, as well as toy-only G4 characters.
This story draws inspiration from the second MLP special, Escape From Katrina, and the G1 episode Mish Mash Melee, using the setting from the second.

My February One Shot is a bit late for February, I know. I'm actually hopefully getting done with it this week. It's going to be a sweet Tales of Chicacolt chapter! That's right, not only that it's going to include Radiant Star from Starlight! Super sweet stuff, I know.
I couldn't help but watch this opening video to Dream Drop Distance constantly to hype myself up... I have never felt so joyful with Kingdom Hearts III coming soon! I am as hyped as ever for the grand finale of the Dark Seeker Saga! 
Also, best opener for Kingdom Hearts ever! 
StarBurst is best ship. It's got the best ship name, Starlight and Sunburst have very complementary skills (crazy magic power + crazy magic knowledge), and they would be a totally OP couple.
TLDR: Best ship is best ship because bestness.
I'll fight anyone who thinks otherwise.

For those reading this who don't know, Flurry Heart is the child of Shining Armor and Cadence. 
Am I the only one who thinks she's hideous? That's a horrific colour scheme! Although, I can't hate her too much. She has made me add a drop-in to my headcanon, which has been helpful, because for those who don't know, I very much enjoy the 'Long-suffering Immortal' trope.
