NauthApologies again to all my readers for the slow update progress as Twitter consumes more and more of my life. Just two more months until election season is over, and then I'll sorta-maybe quit, probably.
In a big benchmark for the Age of Iron series, we have our first submission of non-commissioned artwork! From long-time reader Mix-Up comes his rendition of Gear Works' pony-based scout walker! Spoilers, kind of!
The base MkI Strider, a scout and light assault combat battlesuit that uses a fusion of Imperial and Tau technologies.
The pegasus-capable MkII Strider, boasting flight capabilities and Mix-Up's little OC dude back there.
The unicorn-friendly MkIII Strider, which is I don't even know but that is freaking BOSS.
In other news, for those of you who read Home is Where Your Curse is and have been eagerly awaiting an artist's rendition of the two foul sorcerers that I've dropped into the most hopeless rebel quest ever, we have the following picture from Nauth!
This was going to be featured in the actual story, but, like it came too late and then I couldn't easily fit it into the next one, and there is this other art piece, and finally I was like WHATEVER.
So here it is. Enjoy.

Excellent stuff. Nice to see that Gear Works ideas may bare fruit in later chapters.
They look amazing! My favorite is the MkIII - and the little unicorn pilot is the cherry on top, I love his expression!
The MkI is my second favorite, very lively poses and I like the angular and minimalistic design. And it perfectly captures the bizarre of 40K.
The MkII looks neat, very cyberpunk-y and I can really hear the machine shop and the steam vents.

Are you going to add those walkers in your 38th company Codex?

There are already Tzeenth-based pony troops in the Codex. If you're just looking for Rubric Marines that are pony-shaped, there isn't any in-story reason for those to exist.
I'm open to ideas for new troops, but they should be more than just equine versions of current Chaos Space Marine units.
