Yet another day of 11th grade... Yay....

So the RCL did its Bronycon thing, and we somehow ended up with a consensus that Monochromatic wrote the best story in the fandom, that my husband (we can all dream) Aragon placed, and I got an honourable mention. I also did very well in the online polling for submissions.

Anyway I'll be on FamousLastWords' Shipping panel on Saturday at like 445, and might pop in and out of the writers' room a few times. Otherwise you can find me about being a memelord; occasionally I will also be in my *vaguely* respectable but nonetheless poorly made Celestia ponysuit, and if you see me you are required to either give Celly a hug or dab on her.

I recently finished 2 books:  The Worst of Bad Horse (described here) and Stupid Unicorn (a picture book).  Both will be available both at Bronycon, and by mail (which costs more because shipping).  (I might possibly have copies at Trotcon or Capclave this month, but I won't be selling them in the dealer's room.)

The Bronycon Bookstore, for those of you unawares, is a project by Aquaman to buy a vendor booth at the last Bronycon so fandom writers can print and sell their work. It is also something I really, really, would really like to participate in. In fact, I've kicked around the idea for years of printing a collection of my stories to hand out as a gift at cons if nothing else.

I'll be delisting all remaining MLP items at the end of the summer to focus entirely on selling my huge stash of collectible magazines, which take up vastly more space than the MLP items. Everything here fits into a single flat box I can pick up with one hand. The magazines... weigh over 700 lbs total. Sooooo, kinda makes sense to deal with those ASAP! I work with ex-military types, retired Master Chiefs mostly. And to deal with them you just gotta--I dunno how to describe it. They're not bullies (mostly), but they're forceful and their sense of humor is rough and you don't just have to be able to take it, you have to dish it out, too. At least a little. Not too much, because they're in charge. But if you can't give as you get then they won't respect you.

I only know what I've read for myself, but apparently, three women had their drinks spiked at the con and were almost victims of a date-rape. Fortunately, they were taken to safety, and nothing else happened, but as far as we know, the perpetrator has yet to be caught.
