It’s with prereaders and currently weighing in at almost exactly 10k words—and that’s only after I decided to remove the trailing 4500 words to save for the next chapter. Yeah, it was getting too big too quickly, but at least writing the chapter following won’t take as long.

The first couple prereads are in and very favorable. After all the angst and issues this chapter gave me, it appears to have turned out well in the end. Given it's gotten very long—now nearly 20k words, split between three unique perspectives—I'm giving all prereaders until Sunday morning to hit it, when I'm planning to launch it.
Alright, this blog post is well overdue. And unfortunately, I mostly have bad news.
First of all, no, I'm not dead. I'm not cancelling Unusual Lives, or it's origin spin off. The latest delay was partially due to taking an extended break over the holidays to catch up with family, and partially because everyone's favorite nemesis has decided to pay me another visit. I thought I'd be over it before the end of January, but here we are. Stupid writer's block...
First and foremost, 🎇Happy New Year, folks! 🎇And second, the first preread of C&C Chapter 38 is in and favorable, courtesy of Silentwoodfire—thanks, SWF. Hopefully the rest will be as well. But while we’re waiting for that, I’d like to go back to Eros for a bit, both to work on and wonder if I made a mistake by releasing the first part of the new Changeling arc as one big chapter.
I’ve given them a week to hit it, and I’ve already started into into a brand new chapter, with the first 500 words down. At long last—and sorry again for the long sideshow there; I will address that directly in the first part of the text as Sunset gets dinged by creative writing instructor Ms. Cherilee for letting her narration lose focus—it’s time for Midnight to deal with Lemon Zest. Probably going to be a two-parter this go-around, but we’ll see.
Final preread is in—thanks, Silverblade5. So all that’s left is a final editing pass followed by creating the T-rated version. It shouldn’t actually be much shorter than the regular one, as sex does not take center stage here.

Work has proceeded apace on the next Nightmare Night chapter ever since the last one was released, and the next one now stands unfinished at a whopping 12k words with still more to be written.
Three out of four/possibly five sections and 4200 words are already written; 7500 words seems the most likely total at this point. I'm aiming for a weekend release with Sunday being the most likely day. Sorry to take so long on this one, but work has been a diamond dog mother and then I was on vacation to Las Vegas for a couple weeks. How was it? Hey, folks. Thought I'd give the first update on my promised Nightmare Night clopfic, now slated for release on Monday, October 30th... or earlier if I can get it ready in time.
I’m back home after getting up at 4:45 for this and dragging my gym friend out of bed to drive me there and back. Took a little more than three hours after I walked in the hospital door. Little pain so far and no need for the crutches they gave me as I’m walking fine without them. That may change as the painkiller they gave at the time wears off, but so far, so good.
The next chapter of Unleash the Magic: Nightmare Night will release this weekend depending on how fast it gets finished and how quickly my prereaders can complete their pass. The chapter currently stands at around 6000 words and will end with another sexual corruption... or actually two! Want a teaser...?
You know, I've thought about it, and there's really no reason for me to wait until the entirety of TLaTU is converted to a T-rated story before releasing it. Especially when I can convert the first six or so chapters in a matter of hours.

Last week, after many false starts and discards, I finished the first chapter of my novel. Or more accurately, I finished the first chapter of a novel after discarding three others this year, and this is the first one I'm mildly confident might possibly be finish-able. To celebrate this ephemeral milestone, I would like to revisit a piece of writing advice that I learned long ago, yet I still often forget; don’t force it—but don’t procrastinate either.
Given the way it's developing, it's possible I'll split it into multiple chapters before all is said and done. I'll come around with a teaser when release day gets closer, but until then... I'm going to shamelessly attempt to entice some fresh Midnight Rising readers over to Nightmare Night with an excerpt. If you liked Midnight in Midnight Rising, wait until you get a load of her in Nightmare Night, as the Friendship Map summons Sunset and Sci-Twi to the pony realm
I accidentally overwrote chapter 5 of Temptations and Transformations with chapter 8 when I published the latter. If you're a new reader and were confused—which is likely since the three inside mail worker characters hadn't been introduced yet—my sincerest apologies.
