There are a lot of half-baked authors who seem to think that "feeling" your way through pacing, structure, and storytelling is the way to go. They are flat out wrong. Practice form and get good at it before you think about breaking form.
I've just been reading through the following mouth watering geology-themed-cake blog posts from the Geological Society of London:
Ladies. Gentlemen. I require your input.
I want to bake so bad. I'm in the mood for cookies and / or brownies. Something sweet, as you do. I really want to try make something with chocolate or peanut butter as the base ingredient. I require satisfaction for the sweet tooth!
So, as such, I'm asking if anybody has or knows about any recipes they'd like to recommend to me to try out! I'll post pictures if I do it!

I have returned to this website, no longer as an anon reader... but now as a writer and contributor. I don't think anyone remembers me but I used to go by Wake N Bake. lol yeah... I'm surprised my stories are still there. I really want to redo them. Maybe someday... maybe for the sake of grammar and structure, sigh... good times though. I can't remember why I even left...

Ditzy Doo Loves Muffins
I enjoy eating muffins
I like them big and small
If you get me a dozen
Then I will eat them all
There is much I like about muffins
Their soft texture and sweet taste
Cold or fresh out of the oven
In my mouth they will be placed

As some people may know, I'm rather fond of gingerbread. Specifically the design and construction of gingerbread houses. It's one of my more passionate hobbies, if a somewhat seasonal one.
This year I decided to tackle a new challenge (while trying a variety of new techniques, tricks, and recipe variants) in order to bring to life a classic structure from the hallowed halls of My Little Pony fandom.
"Remind me again why I agreed to this?"
"Because you love Apex and Ocellus?"
"Yeah! Don' you love us Uncle Pharynx?"
"Okay, sure, but why does that have to equal me helping you make cookies?"
"Because it's fun!"
"Besides, you were the one complaining about there not being any cookies for your tea party-"
Is it just me or is the crystal map version of Charlie from Charlie's Angels who summons a couple of ponies to do some friendship quest kind of dumb? No seriously, outside of the first mission they went on the map is kind of dumb. The first mission they met up and broke up the pony version of the Orwellian town and restored individuality to the ponies there (at least for awhile). This was a good mission. It was a mission well worth taking. After that though, not really quite so
SHAME ON ME! So, yeah, it's crazy in my life the past few months, meaning I skipped a Vignette!

...And I mean that quite literally. In Plumsweet's chapter of 16, she bakes a chocolate raspberry cheesecake. This has now been replicated in real life, and it looks fantastic! As if that wasn't sweet (pun intended) enough, Plum's cutie mark has also been turned into an equally tasty treat!
I am genuinely offended. Reason why? I was lied to.
Everytime I bake something, I allow my grandmother to try whatever it is I make. This time, I made blueberry muffins. She asked me to bring her one when I was free to do so after cleaning up. When she first tried it, she told me she liked it, but it was easy to pick out she didn't from her face. I asked her to tell me straight if she didn't like it. She still told me she liked it. I didn't believe her. I was right to do so.
