I am working to finish Infinite Imponability Drive as soon as I can. Unfortunately the last two weeks have been so crazy that it’s been hard to set aside more than a few hours to do any writing…

    Imponable Update

Work on Infinite Imponability Drive continues. I aim to get another chapter up by next weekend. Thank you to everyone who left comments. Sorry I have not been very responsive. I got sidetracked for the last two weeks preparing a talk for the ATOM society on Particle Detectors for the LHC and Beyond, which took rather more of my time than I

Higher Level Rock Cakes · 9:26pm Jun 14th, 2014

I've just been reading through the following mouth watering geology-themed-cake blog posts from the Geological Society of London:

The Great Geobakeoff – the results
The Great Geobake-off
Silurian Death Assemblage Cupcakes

Evidently Pinkie Pie is still just a novice at Domestic Rock Science. Here is the sort of thing that Pinkie and Maud might create, with help from Mr and Mrs Cake:

The original Silurian Death Assemblage Cupcakes post includes the full recipe for these chocolate invertebrate palaeontology:

Unfortunately my baking skills are not quite at this level, but I could probably manage a sandstone layer cake.

Despite what the baker claims on her blog, I would eagerly eat Silurian death assemblage cupcakes.

I never knew how many people were into both baking and geology. Sure, the Earth cake is a classic, but some of these are marvelously inventive. Thanks for the delicious science!:pinkiesmile:

These look neat. I would like to eat them.
