Hello Legion, it's been awhile, hasn't it?
I've never been good at this kinda thing, and while I could go on about my antics as of late, I won't and will just come out and say it.
I need help. Badly. This year, 2022, has not been kind to me. And yes, I am aware of the "what a year" meme and so dearly wish it wasn't literal to me. I'll explain.
So.
2020. It's almost over.
It's funny, as a year ago, I was in a rather optimistic place. I had a new job lined up! I was going to work on my writing! I even had some vague plans to travel abroad once I got settled in at the new gig!
Yeah, I'm having one of those moments again. You know which ones. Those moment when you are thinking in more concepts and stories ideas rather than how to drive home your actually published work.
Does someone remember those lines? No? Okay, let me tell you what are those.
Those ar the very first lines I wrote around the idea of Actually, I'm Dead. It happened over a year ago, and nine days later, this happened:
It's with a heavy heart that I must report that famed film composer James Horner died as the sole occupant in a plane crash yesterday. He's known for composing the scores of An American Tail, Apollo 13, Titanic, Avatar, and many, many more films. He was one of my favorite composers.

EDIT: Oh, and I guess I technically graduated today. Did the stage walk and stuff, but they stripped back just about everything since... yeah. :P
For these Middle Shelf blogs, I usually make one after I finish (or catch up on) whatever good fic I've just finished reading, if I remember to. Concept: Rather than falling through a crack by pure chance, Zoey finds herself alone where the portal had first opened, and finds a rapidly-growing crack in the air. Requires something to have separated Zoey from the rest of the group, as well as some driving force behind why she ultimately decides to actively tear open the crack.
