Being a Better Writer: Ancient Jobs and Ancient Life · 9:17pm Jul 18th, 2022
Welcome back readers.
Things feel a little subdued this morning. That’s because the writing world lost a legend this weekend. Eric Flint passed away on Sunday.

Yes, I know how late into the month it's getting. Truth be told I was planning on moving it to July as I want July to be a big month for me. A lot of stuff will be happening in July and I want to get as many views onto the accounts as possible for that month. So next month there will be two War Anthologies. Plus I'm planning to change up the last War Anthology. As some of you may know, the last one would be covering events after Nightmare Moon, which I'm already covering with Twilily Saga:
Yesterday, December 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The French sailing frigate L'Hermione will be visiting the US this June through July, finishing in Nova Scotia. Dates are as follows
June 5-7- Yorktown, VirginiaJune 9th- Mt Vernon, Virginia (at anchor) June 10-12- Alexandria, Virginia (in progress, tickets required)June 16-17- Annapolis, MarylandJune 19-21- Baltimore, MarylandJune 25-28- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, tickets required, in progressJuly 1-4- New York City, New York
Ok, So this is my 50th review blog, and I have now reviewed 141 stories, from 90 different authors.
Now, I would have liked to release another chapter of Short Stories, but I noticed this milestone to late to do so... therefore, I will just be giving you the prompt for one of the next few I do: Zephyr Breeze gets left in the woods by Fluttershy in the events of "Flutter Brutter."
To my great amazement, I have reached and surpassed the 100 followers milestone. Everyone who followed me for whatever reason: thank you very much! I hope I will be able to deliver more enjoyable content for you in the future.
Now that I have that many followers, I have decided to unveil a small mystery: how I became a brony in first place. I haven't talked about this here, AFAIK, so I don't think I'll repeat myself.
Here's a short but very lovely piece of storytelling by The Wind King, describing some of the thoughts and worries of Father Fenris from the 'Ardiverse' stories that started in 'Wolf in Pony's Clothing'.
Just so everyone knows, this is canon to my stories from now on. And it might be that Fenris will indeed return someday in the main setting!
So, I've noticed a lot, and I mean, a lot of conjecture surrounding the fixation on the Anon-A-Miss story. This lead me to thinking on it, and I realized I had a somewhat novel observation on the mess that I could share. I also figured it would just got lost if I dropped it as a comment, so, here we are.
There will likely be a delay between chapters for both Shadows and Watchers and A Measure of History. I'm getting three wisdom teeth pulled on Saturday, the 1st of August, and I'm sure ya'll know how that's gonna go. I'll probably be out of commission for at least a few days afterwards.
Thus, no new chapters until after that, unless I can manage to get a couple of these finished by the end of the weekend.
Fun times.
As early as the 1880's, the word flim-flam has been a part of the English language?
flim-flam - The generic name for the various dodges by which a thief, in changing money (paper or coin), obtains more than he gives.
Let's watch a master flim-flammer working his craft.
Well, here we are again, a new Hearth's Warming Tidbit for you all and this one is a big one. Never have I considered making such a bold lock in my universe. The zebras have always been a confusing puzzle to the fans. Some have their own theories, well for my universe this blog is the canon events on the zebras. The Zebras of Epon.

Roxy took a moment to consider just where her life had taken her at this point.
She was currently riding on the back of a wild Pokémon, who also happened to be a predator, running through the endless forest like it was a joyride. Taka, her stoic and unsmiling partner, sat behind her, sharing the ride with her. The predator below, who could eat them both with a snap of her jaws, was kind and friendly and had stated her intention to never harm them, as thanks for saving her life.
"After playing Doom Eternal, I am really beginning to believe that Samuel Hayden is actually Samur Makyr. The reason I think that is that in Doom Eternal Samuel knew so much about Urdak to the point that he would have had to be there at some point for a fair amount of time. The other reason is that Samuel had extensive knowledge of Nekravol along with the Argent factory there." - from FuedOfJustice

1958 was over, and turned into 1959. Music was also evolving, though maybe not instantly or very quickly at all. However, 1959 starts to leak in some genres considered products of the 60’s.
