Vinyl doesn't care for coffee shops. They're too mellow. So when Octavia insists they both go to her favourite haunt, Long-shots, she isn't impressed.

In lower Canterlot, however, very little is as innocent as it seems, and Vinyl is about to hear a story from one of her friends previous visits... and she may not like what she hears.

What comes next is worse.

When a banker is found dead in his office, Shining Armour is called in to investigate. He quickly finds a diary detailing the ponies every move, which becomes the staple for the investigation.

As the young Guardpony hits dead end after dead end, the case begins to cut closer to home than he would like, and he learns the advantages of having a very organized pony for a sister...

A murder mystery that ties together checklists and schedules with lies and trickery.

Stev is an outgoing family man, who loves his wife and his neighborhood. However, he's surprised to find out that the house next to his is being rented out to travellers on holiday... and who should show up but a graceful, elegant, magical pony looking for a nice relaxing trip to the country to unwind.

Like the good neighbour he is, Stev invites her to join him, his wife, and friends, to a barbeque. And like the gracious mare the tourist from Equestria is, she accepts.

But vacations don't last forever.

Ribbon Red is a gift-shop owner who doesn't get out much, and has a comfortable life selling his wares to ponies for their friends and family.

Rainbow Dash comes in with a special request: she wants to get Applejack the best gift ever, and she wants Ribbon's help in finding it.

Ribbon knows a lot about giving presents: He knows how to appreciate the value of a simple gift, the significance of a beautiful ornament... but above all, he knows that the most precious gifts come from the heart.

Applejack, despite having worked hard all week during the Autumn Harvest, is going on a two day delivery trip to Fillydelphia, leaving behind her family and her sleepy marefriend, Rainbow Dash. Just before leaving, however, she recieves dark tidings of a mysterious criminal bent on fruit larceny...

Of course, the trip won't go as planned.

A series of events explaining the life and trials of a human child lost in a strange and unfamiliar world, and how she finally connects with her new home.

Octavia and Vinyl are both, to their surprise, flying to Trottingham on the same flight. At first, this seems like a happy coincidence, but things turn sour when the engineer on board, Cogs, is killed.

With everypony on board panicking and accusing Vinyl, Octavia helps her prove her innocence and save the rest of the passengers by unveiling the real killer.

Navigating suspects such as an unhinged weather pony, two inventor brothers, and an art dealer from Prance, both ponies have their work cut out for them.

When a bag full of drawings falls from the sky onto Applejack's head, she wouldn't have expected an old secret Rainbow Dash had been keeping to be revealed, for her to lose a fight with a fridge, and for the two of them to open up to each other in more ways than one.

But that's only if Applejack stops being furious at her friend for lying. Again.
