Written for the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting’s Expanded Universe contest (where I kind of misunderstood what we had to do). This is a sequel to Decaf’s The Last Wrap Up. I recommend reading it beforehand if you haven’t already.

Rainbow Dash was on the battle field fighting against Sombra just like any other day since the war had began, until…

…a broken wing. Great.

That was what Rainbow Dash thought when she first heard the news. Something that she didn’t think about was to be sent towards a farm so she could heal.

Sweet Apple Acres. The place where they made the army’s applesauce and where the Apple siblings lived.

Dash would’ve never thought that she would laugh with a filly while war was occurring, nope, never. She would’ve never thought that she would enjoy home made meals from a not so talkative stallion, no siree! And she would’ve never thought that she would find something -somepony, worth fighting for... not at all.

A couple of days after Applejack finally broke her apple-bucking record, Rainbow Dash takes her on a date. Fun times and bonding are in store for the two when they end up at a race in Appleoosa. They have a whole day to spend, why not have some fun out on the town?

Happens after the events of Sweet, Sweet Record O’ Mine. It’s not a required read, but I recommend you do read it.
