With the year coming to an end, Zipp and Hitch take the moment to reflect on all that they have been through together since that fateful day Zipp broke down and where they are now.

Takes place in the IDW comics continuity, immediately after the Discord arc. If you have not read issues 1-10 already, then please do so or this story will not make sense.

Discord has been reformed once again. Following his attempt to destroy all magic, he has done much to come to terms with his actions. Though he is accepted by pony society, he still prefers a life of isolation as it was the only life he ever knew for centuries. Yet that solitary life is about to be uprooted when none other than Izzy Moonbow, the very pony who had mercy on him in the first place, comes knocking at his door and inviting him to have holiday dinner with her friends in Maretime Bay.

Suddenly, Discord is thrown back to the days where he had friendship, the day he had love…the day he had Fluttershy. He doesn’t feel like he is ready to be given a second chance yet, but Izzy will not give up on him….

A story told through letters and texts, Hitch and Zipp tries to solve the outage while keeping the public calm. They write back-and-forth letters helping each other, teasing each other, and even reach the point of revealing their true affections for each other.

With all of Equestria on the line, Misty is forced to confront Opaline in Zephyr Heights, and reveal the truth of her allegiances with the ponies. Misty didn't know why she was so scared that night. Yet, she hoped that Opaline would comfort her and help her calm down. And there's no better way to comfort a little filly than telling a bedtime story.

Not long ago, a strange creature named Anon wandered into Maretime Bay. It was clear from the get-go that he needed some help, but not everypony was immediately accepting of the strange creature. So, it fell to Sunny Starscout and her friends to look after the new arrival.

...At least, that was what they thought. When their backs were turned, Anon made an unlikely friend, and she was the last pony they expected to see him with. Posey Bloom isn't exactly known for getting along with others.

And yet, she adores him.

It’s Winter Wishday, and everypony is ready to celebrate.

Poor Zipp finds herself struggling to decide on a present for Sunny. After all, a marefriend like Sunny deserves the best possible gift there is.
