That’s why today finds them in a 1979 Cadillac on the road going nowhere.

Alternatively: unwound in a fake car on a freeway that’s the same as all the others, like in every other low budget movie you’ve seen on that odd movie channel

Twilight Sparkle dreams sometimes.

Sometimes she dreams of grand ballrooms, of dancing, of costumes and whirlwind romance. She dreams of herself as the graceful, wise ruler of Equestria.

Everything that she believes that she is not in reality.

If only she could make her dreams a reality. If only there were a dark, mysterious mare who could convince her.

Rarity and Rainbow Dash pose as Sweetie Belle’s parents in the age-old story of I-can’t-let-my-parents-talk-to-my-teacher-they’ll-ground-me-for-life.

But things, of course, get worse in the not-so-sensible way before they get better – the good better.

Rainbow Dash can totally believe she drank a temporary amnesia potion on a dare. What she can’t level with is the idea that she’s been Rarity’s loyal right-hand seamstress for the past few years.

She’s gotta be missing something – y’know, aside from a bunch of memories.

Applejack is known around Ponyville for being one of the most hard-working ponies in Equestria. Unfortunately, that sometimes means getting only a sparse couple hours of sleep at best or pulling all-nighters at worst. Her motto is, "Don't sleep until you succeed."

Rarity is a hard worker too. She works night and day on orders for clients and new designs, trying her best to make sure each and every detail is perfect. However, she knows that proper rest is essential to doing well in all aspects of life.

So when a pony who works until her body can't take it and a pony who works until she feels tired meet up with each other, it'll be a lesson for one...and it'll be a lesson she will never forget.

Inspiration taken from this Wild Kratts fanfic I read many years ago. Not intended to be Rarijack shipping, just friendship fluff.

It doesn't take a mountain to move a person.

But Rarity’s always been a bad judge of things. And kind of extra about stuff. And a bit of a slut, in a good way.

All things considered, Rarity finds a bitter prom better than a lonely one.

Still, it doesn't make watching her dream school dance from afar any less pitiful. Neither does Rainbow Dash's insistence on hanging around.

Or; misery loves company, and no one loves rejection -- it's a bitter slow dance, really.

After a recently thwarted assassination attempt against Rarity, Twilight and Rarity discuss the soldier's uncertain future as the queen's private bodyguard.

Part of the Bodyguard!AU Series, based on Earthsong9405's AU where Twilight is the bodyguard to a "Princess/Queen Rarity". Prior knowledge of the AU is not necessary to read the story.

As part of her search for somepony to assist her with legal matters, Twilight spends most of her time interviewing potential candidates. When this results in her neglecting her friends, Rarity decides to take matters into her own hooves.

By which she means getting a job interview with Twilight and acting as unprofessionally as possible.
