Yeah, yesterday was insane in terms of news, and the Nintendo Direct was hype. However, I'm not sold on Eldraine, yet. The mechanics and cards have so far been mediocre, IMO. Food is just Clues, but way worse, to support living to the lategame so you can cast your underwhelming adventure creatures for value. The other half of the set looks to be more focused on seeding color matters back into standard for when we go back to Theros immediately after than actually supporting the main two themes.

I haven't played in months, but I actually main Mii Gunner. A couple of the default specials are meh, though. You really want Stealth Burst as your side special, as it's an insane, hard to dodge kill move once you get down the timing. They you can pick one of the other two options for your neutral. Arm Rocket is way better as a recovery move, too.

Watching three grown men scream in pure, unadulterated terror because, for a split second, they thought Sans was legit in Smash was a treat.

Unfortunately they talked over the bit where Sakurai admitted Toby Fox had personally come to his house and kicked his ass in Smash. That I had to find out later.

Arm Rocket seemed like the best recovery move for sure, while stealth burst looked like it super high potential in skilled hands (which mine aren't, but that's what practice is for.) Other than that, i sorta went with stuff that looked "powerful," which meant the charging neutral B and the Absorb down B (though i'd definitely be willing to sub that one out for the other projectile-eater.)

Unfortunately, Sans Gunner is locked into Cannon Jump Kick because GEEEEEEET DUNKED ON! (Stealth Burst is fine because attacks coming at impossible times and from impossible places are the second half of his fight, definitely go with the reflector because "what, you thought I was just going to stand there and take it?" and Laser Blaze is probably legit the best neutral already but being low damage rapid fire pushes it over the edge; you force approaches with it and the reflector then give them a bad time with Up-B out of shield)

I want to like Magic again, I really do. It just doesn't seem worth it overall anymore... which makes it awkward trying to contact my old friends from school again, 'coz that's what we used to do.

Maybe if the Food mechanic turns out to be something really fun, I'll try getting a deck of that through drafts and such. But that's a big maybe.

As for the trailer... it looks great, don't get me wrong. But relatively speaking, it's nothing major, still. The Blender foundation has been hitting these levels of quality for a while now, this looks standard to me, not exceptional, given their resources. I'd be more impressed by something with toon shaders or something 2D animated, to be honest.

Unpopular opinion, perhaps. But throwing it out there for consideration, regardless. Banjo-Kazooie music is awesome without any remarks from me, that is just a good piece of both nostalgia and standing on its own merits.
