"Dying to get there" is a common English idiom meaning "anxious to arrive at your destination."

It also happens to be the title of a fanfic by yours truly about everyone thinking Twilight literally kills herself every time she teleports (as it turns out, I not-so-secretly love puns).

So, which is more important according to Google - the MLP fanfic, or the masses of humanity who use the idiom?

Oh, who am I kidding:

I'm so terribly grateful to all of you for reading my story and spreading it around to the point where it has apparently overwhelmed the idiomatic use of the phrase.

Thank you.

You all need to tell your kids that I totally made it up. :trixieshiftright:

I'm impressed, even using a clean install, a few random geolocations and IPs it stayed as the top result. This must be a sign of the pastel apocalypse.

Apparently, TD has great SEO skills.

Yeah, it's totally not because your history is full of pone alrea-

Wuh buh. Never mind.

Did some independent tests myself, can confirm.

Yeah, I chose to pump them up last time I leveled. Clearly paying off.

Hey you did a great job with it. What more needs to be said?

The ponies shall conquer the Internet.:pinkiecrazy:

Aw, thanks. :twilightblush:

Judging by half of my image search results, they already have. :trixieshiftright:

3727758 You're welcome.

I remember that story. It was weird.

Buck me side ways... I got the same result. :rainbowderp:

I wonder if it works for some one outside the Brony community... :duck:

*Begins a slow clap, a crowd suddenly appearing and clapping along, cheering loudly* YAY!

This is so ridiculously awesome, haha!

This is quite impressive; as a fellow lover of puns congratulations. I remember liking this story when it first came, but never looking at any of your other stories. I'll have to remember to take a look at some of the other things you've written.

Yeah, that was the first thing I checked, too. Hats off, Mister Dragon. :moustache:

Now it's time for me to edit and publish "Time Enough For Love" and get Cloverlestia to trump Heinlein in the search rankings. You're pre-hired; I'll throw in some crystallized saudade as a signing bonus. :trixieshiftright:

Thanks! I hope you like my other stuff as well. I'd hate to be a one-hit wonder.

What are you talking about? Heinlein named his story after a pony fanfic, everyone knows that. :moustache:

You have my keyboard, good sir.

Yay! I can always use more Internets.

Huh, that's kind of mind-boggling. In any event, congratulations!:yay:

Lying to children is a time-honored tradition that I will gladly indulge for you.

And here I was just about to ask if his browsing history effected the results.

Knighty's SEO skills 2 op

Okay, so I did it on Firefox. It worked. I did it on an incognito page. It worked. I posted it into my local Discord chat, which has a programmer who used to work at Microsoft in it. Even he said that this had some validity to it. The ONLY time it didn't work was when I did it with Edge, but...

:trixieshiftright: Well, it's Edge.

3729259
I'm flattered how much testing went into that. Thank you!

I have no clue what Edge is, though, I'm afraid. :rainbowderp:

3729418 It's Microsoft's new Internet Explorer. :twilightsheepish:
