I always thought 'Ditzy Doo' was a better name, and I would really have prefered if they had left her as an unnoticed backgrounder.
I cannot understand the huge boner this fandom has for octavia/dj pon-3/lyra/bonbon whatever background pony du jour you enjoy. Every. Single. Time I see a story in the top feature spot, half the time it's about one of those characters. That, and how the hell 'anon is suddenly transported to equestria' is even still allowed at this point. I get it, your life sucks and you wished you lived in a world filled with niceness and talking horses whom you misguidedly believe would fall in love with you, the most bizarre creature they've probably ever seen. I'm pretty open about my opinions. The closest I come to having a "confession" is a belief I have that I'm very willing to talk about: Rarity is a giant whore and I absolutely hate her. Season two we get a great "Oh what webs we weave" episode, and what does Rarity learn? "I shouldn't be ashamed of my friends". Wooow, Rarity. Learning not to hate your friends as a default reaction. Sooo generous.
Take right now for example! What's the top featured story? A human comes to equestria hurr durr princesses herp derp ponies. What the actual fuck, people?

Yeah, I never got the Humans-in-Equestria thing. Even the few stories that people said are good were just...just awful when I read them. I also never cared much about Vinyl Scratch or Octavia, but I think Lyra's pretty cute.
Oh, and my first time through the show, I hated Rarity. I watched the first one and a half seasons thinking she was just the worst. I've since come around and now she's a contender for my second favorite (after Twilight), but yeah.

~I don't like the idea of "Dr. Whooves", a ponified version of Dr. Who
~I don't like Dash/Big Mac ships
~I hate the idea of Sparkler being Derpy's daughter (just because Dinky and Sparkler were in the Sisterhooves Social doesn't mean they have to be sisters- AJ and Sweetie were going to compete as "honorary sisters")
~Sometimes I really don't like Twi or Dash (although I still like them both overall. Just some parts of their personalities)
I haven't really read all that much pony fiction.
If we've truly lost Derpy from the show, I consider it just karma from the silliness of Derpygate. If the fandom doesn't want to lose our favorites, it needs to learn to act like adults.
My confession? I'm a sucker for the aforementioned HiE stories, even terrible ones. Hell, the only categories of story I don't read are horror and extra gory ones.

I find Pinkie Pie to be extremely annoying. In-show she's barely tolerable and 99% of her fanon appearances are downright awful. She's aggravating and extremely too one-note to be worth anything as a character. (Also, her actions in Wonderbolt Academy were even more stupid than usual.)
I have a confession, as someone who is also disabled, I love Derpy.
Hmm, I guess while the opportunity is here, I might as well get this off of my back as well:
I prefer the fandom and what it does compared to the show itself.
As good as the show is, and it is good, I think it's what everyone does here and in all those other creativity centered locations that really pulls it out of its special little box and makes it shine.
-I don't really like Fluttershy as a character, mostly because the lessons she learns never seem to stick with her.
-Background ponies=OCs with pre-designed colors and cutie marks (not saying I don't like them, but it's true).
-I find some Human in Equestrian stories incredibly intriguing (Arrow 18, for example).
-I'm very afraid of the show's future.
-Part of me looks forward to the show ending so that all of the trendy wannabees who are in the community for the wrong reasons will GTFO, leaving behind a much more mature, dedicated, loving fanbase that will stick together for generations.
-Likewise, I don't care where the show goes. I'll enjoy it with all of its ridiculous turns and toy-marketing-developments. It won't 'wreck' the fandom or fanworks and there's just no making people happy. According to some people, new episodes are either a) too much fanservice or b) completely off the rails, and no where in between.
-I think that people who use slurs and derogatory language to refer to ponies they don't like (ESPECIALLY RD, I'm noticing) completely miss the point of the show and are toxic to the community. (on the other hand, some people get way too upset if someone doesn't like their favorite pony...)
-Apparently I sound like a stuck up dingus and instead of rattling off a billion complaints.. um...
-Twilight is Auroradorabalis and I don't care who knows.
(and since it's come up a lot, humans are pretty cool, just that people that write HiE actually need to go out and meet a few first, I think.)
Hmm, these are some pretty neat confessions. And yet, they've got nothing on this: I read the occasional well-written foalcon...and enjoy it. Like, more than I probably should.
#2: Sometimes I read the opinions of other bronies and wish the show itself never existed so that I wouldn't be sitting there reading some of the most one-sided statements I've ever seen (though I have problems with those that exhibit extremism due to my own desire to be rational/logical/moderate in almost all of my thinking and this has led to many a confrontation in the past). That is to say, not everything I've read here has irritated me in some way, and because I retain that moderate thinking, I try to view each person's statements from their side and end up agreeing with them to some degree and all of my frustration disappears and I'm able to laugh at these as they are supposed to be responses to an end-of-the-world scenario that's not happening.
Letter C - I am guilty of enjoying those overly popular ships as well. VinylxOctavia, TwiDash, LyraxBonBon, and (at one point) AppleDash.
Bullet point IV - I secretly want to write the best "mass genocide of the entire pony race by dragons" story ever written and describe it in glorious gory detail.

Lastly, I talk too much. Stream of consciousness is not my closest friend, but my most bitter rival. Even now I'm just typing what comes to mind, not really caring what came before. It makes for more interesting conversation. So how does this one relate to ponies? Before this show I was as sane as you could get. Now, the above writing is the result of what I feel to be a slightly fragmented mind. Or do I? What was I saying again? I'm not sure anymore. I already regret this comment, but I'm going to post it anyway.

636918 Oh god this. She's clearly comic relief and not much else. The most character development she got was when she lost her already tenuous grasp on reality, and that was only in one episode. I think the writers are mostly yo blame for this.

They wanted her removed, as if removing a pony with a 'disability' (It was never stated nor implied that she was disabled except for her eyes) is some how better for children with her condition/ other disabilities. How is removing a character they can identify with going to help their self esteem or whatever? Isn't removing the disabled something an infamous group tried to do once? Who were they again... oh right! The Nazis.
