WELL, where to start. I quit working for hotel overnight back in early April and planned to achieve my own success by becoming a Gaming Youtuber. Granted. I knew early on that I wouldn't succeed in a day or even a few months, but the Youtube thing is going really well, and I feel like it's time I finally said something to my followers that still go "When is Nailah writing again?"
I was inspired by a friend of mine TCC56 To tell you my plans for the future.
I'm not done yet. I still wanna write but it's been hard to balance Youtube, writing, and my own personal art journey so here are some of my own ideas in progress that I'm hoping to do more work on.

The Buzz: Changeling Dating App
I wanted to write this for the 1k contest but well Life got in the way and I couldn't get started for the longest time. I just was working on this yesterday so I still think it's a solid idea and this is a G5 story, because it would not work in G4, so here's hoping I can finish this soon.

Summary: When Princess Pipp goes missing after a concert, Zipp will have to rely on the last pony she'd ask for help, an earth pony named Hitch. She'd rather do this solo, but realizes quickly how much she needs a helping hoof.

This idea came to me, forever ago like not long after I watched the G5 movie I was like Yep, Hitch/Zipp it's canon to me and then I had this spark to do a mystery/Romance. The classical detective noir that kind of reminds me of that Rarity episode where she helps prove Rainbow's innocence.

Summary: What happens when your head is so high in the clouds, you don’t even realize you're falling?
This one is special to me, for multiple reasons so I still want to keep working on it. This prompt was one of the ones for Bean's Writing Group. While I haven't been a part of the group for some time, I left on my own terms mostly because I wasn't writing at all, and it didn't feel right to be the only writer, not writing. Ninjadeadbeard, an author and close friend we all lost to cancer in late 2022 was the one that came up with this prompt and it would mean the world to me if I could dedicate this story to him and his memory.
Rainbow Dash/Rarity Romance: A Lonely Squire- This idea came to me at work at like 2am in the morning. I'm like "What if Rainbow Dash was a knight in medieval times but she was the lowest possible ranking and had a huge crush on the Princess Rarity. The idea developed a little bit from there, but this one needs a lot more fleshing out, because it's supposed to be a longer story so I need to keep working on a more solid outline but it is started and I do want to continue it.
Roleswap Idea/AU
Summary: Twilight was born a royal Princess Changeling, and due to her impressive skills, a royal alicorn Celestia takes notice of her immediately. Even though she is different than most of her students, she sees potential in the young ling, and recruits her to the School for Gifted Unicorns. How will Twilight fare? Will she be able to follow the traditions of her hive, or will this new found thing called Friendship lead her down a different path from that which she has known all her life?
This one is the only other "newish" idea since the changeling dating app one and is Paused at the moment. I wanted to write it for the contest and then well the contest was over before I knew it, and I just didn't think on it much after that, but a good friend of mine Krickis, liked the idea enough that I think it's worth going back too.
ONGOING stories and status:
This story was written as a gift and present for DaOtterGuy and I feel very bad there's only one chapter, so my goal for Christmas this year is to at least finish this one if I can. This might not be possible for I feel it's a longer story, but hey I gotta start somewhere right?
This one is an OLD idea and probably one of the oldest ones I'm still passionate about. I had a lot of ideas for this story and well it never got very far due to my inexperience with writing a story like this but I still really like my idea and I don't really want to waste all that planning time to just not at least try to work on this more. It's on the backburner, but I haven't given up on this one.
This story is about Snow Heart, my ponysona and well it's def one that needs a LOT of fleshing out. So it's on the back back burner. I think I'm the only one that cares about this, and that's fine, but I still want to work on it at some point. The real question is where to fit it in. Most of my other ideas are more upfront in my mind that I forgot this one existed.
Originally a speedwrite for my own personal server where I decided to try to write a transgender story to help give more rep to a lot of friends who are LBGTQ+ and just wanted to see if I could. I wasn't originally going to even publish it. I'm not trans and even if I do have quite a few trans friends, I am not going to claim I know their struggles. I can emphasize with them, care for them, ,and want to help but it's still not the same. So, I was very nervous but the feedback I got from my fellow writers encouraged me that I should let others see this so I put it up as a oneshot and no surprise many of those that read it, were disappointed there wasn't more so now it's an Ongoing/On the Backburner story. I still think about it from time to time, but nothing official as far as writing or even outlining it.
Active: I haven't worked on this one for months but back when I was still working at the overnight shift at the hotel, I was writing the next chapter at work and I really, really, really like this story idea. It started as a speedwrite from forever ago. Any of my speedwriting friends remember this one? I want to finish it someday but again it may go into "Longer story" category. I have plans, I swear.
Actively Writing: This ONE is almost finished and I promise you that it is going to be finished. Maybe this is the one I can finish of my ongoing stories by end of year. *knocks on wood* This one also started as a speedwrite, that I fell in love with the idea of Lightning Dust redemption story. If you thought it was gonna not be that, well THEN I'm not sure what to say. I like Lightning Dust and she deserved better.
I started this story back in April 2020 when Covid first was a BIG thing and everything was shut down and closed except for first responders and well essential workers. There was a write for 30 days/write for a month challenge that I heard of and was like "Huh, I should try that" so I sat down and was like "Hmm... I think I want to challenge myself." This is probably my closest story to HIE, except well it's not that. It's Octavia in the human world, and not the world Sunset is from, our actual world we live in. Ambitious? HECK yeah, I was writing it for quite a while and having a lot of fun with it, then I don't remember why I just stopped. Probably to write other stuff, or my life went in a different direction but guess what? People really like this one and to this day, I don't get it, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't keep working on this.. Its on the backburner, but I still want to write it.
This is an AU and not only that it's an idea I got while I was still a caregiver while working for a client. So, again older idea. I LOVED this idea though and got a good start into it, and put it on Hiatus because I wasn't sure when I could put enough focus into it, ,to finish it. My dad always said I have a lot of ideas, but I needed to focus on one. So, I'm gonna wait on this one for now.
If you've been following me for a long time, practically since the beginning. You know this story. Derpy gets thrown into a world not her own, and has to find the elements of harmony in order to get back home. Only, she has no idea what she's doing and apprently her other self is a Princess in this world.
Status: Hiatus/Possible Rewrite. PLEASE note: Not scrapping this idea just needs a lot of work.
Abandoned stories:
Old me said I would rewrite this. Current me just has lost all motivation for this story. Was it a good idea at the time? Maybe. Sorry if you were waiting for this, I just don't think it's workable for me to focus on this idea when I've lost my motivation to even start working on rewriting this.
The future: I want to write again, and I want to write more than pony so I might post other stuff here from time to time blog wise if that's a thing you're interested in let me know.
