Let's heat this up, because writing always gets me worked up, and in an awesome way!

T

It was Christmas when it all started.

Christmas was an amazing time of year, and it seemed that everything would simply pass by.

Until she stumbled onto a detective's doorstep in the middle of the night, with nowhere left to turn.

Join Deadwood the Detective as he walks through case after case, using connections and common sense to help those who no one else will listen to, sometimes even for free.

Justice sometimes really is its own reward.

(This story was sort of inspired by all the Anon-a-Miss stories I'm seeing pop up. As someone who was out of the loop for a while, this gives me the ability to write interesting case stories, and create something that I've always wanted to make - a detective story. The first chapter is more of an alternate ending to Diann's own Anon-a-miss story.)

(This story is a case-by-case story - if you feel you've got an interesting 'case file', don't hesitate to send it to me!)

Twilight woke up to find something had happened to her reality.

Something had shifted.

But what was the shift, and how did it come to pass?

Log 132.342.1.23
[FOR AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY]

We have lost. Our war is over, and the Shadow Protocol is missing, the most precious piece of technology we ever held. Without that, our enemies can retaliate against our very strongholds, tear us down, destroy us all. May God have mercy on our souls.

I am enacting the Janus Contingency.
[LOG ENDS]

The universe is a big place, much bigger than any single species can fathom.

But when a threat comes into focus that threatens all species, all universes, every single being in existence, warriors, drifters, heroes, villains, and those of extraordinary talent must come together as allies, or the war is over before it begins.

Welcome to Earthside, 'cause this universe is about to get a whole lot bigger.

[[I had some people a while ago ask me about Earthside, and if I would actually do anything with it. This is the response, because Earthside was a brainchild I could not just simply forget about.]]

There are a lot of rules governing the Bonelands.

Don't help other ponies
Don't take a medical pony away from their town
Always look out for yourself only

To name a few. But when those two came to the irradiated desert that I call home, my world got turned six ways upside down.

From raiders, to ghoul-ponies, and even the Celestia-damned Grand Pegasus Enclave, my world just got a whole lot bigger.

And definitely a whole hell of a lot more dangerous.

Earth, the year 2176. Most of humanity lies dead in the fields of war, the remnants retreating to their strongholds, their forces diminished.

The Independence Coalition, of the wartorn ruins of North America, waits with bated breath while they watch for any signs of the great enemy the entire world fought and failed to defeat.

The World Trade Organization, or 'Traders' as they are colloquially known, stands at the ready in their advanced fortresses, watching over the wastelands that were once Europe.

The Shogunate, of the irradiated dead zone of Asia, stalks and prepares, watching the skies for a sign of anything new.

In the middle of it all, though, beings not of that dead Earth appear to all three factions, pushing them into a conflict none of them could have been prepared for.

My name is Colonel 'Long Haul' Miller. I am the commander of the Clank brigade stationed in the ruins of New York, and this is how the Furies came to be.

So, there's always a lot of stories that people write.

Self inserts, sci-fi, fantasy.

But what about the stories they write, but never finish?

I guess I have some unfinished business then.

From Humans turned ponies, to a powerful need for cream cheese, a high school economics class, and various other stories, one-shots and whatnot that never could see the light of day because they were not written well.

NOTE: These are stories I got a little bit into, usually a chapter or two, before I dropped the idea. There is a lot, mind you, and every single one is unedited so you can see the original pains I went through.

Also, gore? That's... the Fallout Equestria stuff I tried to write. Don't use Bloody Mess perk.

This story is a sequel to Equestria's Outcasts

When the Joining after the War happened, all involved thought the fighting was over. Instead, those who had only known peace turned on those who had only known war, declaring them traitors and hunting them down for ever endangering their homes and their former lives.

At the start, there were 10 000 Airtseuqe Outcasts holding the line. Ten years later, there is only three, and the Equestrian Investigative Bureau of Anti-Harmony Activities, or EIBAHA, is closing in.

With the world turned against them, Hammer, Pumpjack, and Hermes must leave their home of Piety behind and enter a new world.

And not just any world.

Our world.

The Exiles must relearn everything if they are to survive the harshness that is...

… Rocksprings, Texas.

[[This is a sequel to my original story, Equestria's Outcasts, which is still in the midst of rewrites.]]

The Zone is friend to none, and enemy to all. To a Bandit, it is the proper way for their lives to gain the power they lacked in their previous lives. To the Military Man, it was something to be controlled, to be feared. To the STALKER, it was home.

But for a single creature from another plane of existence, the Zone is but the greatest threat in the nature of the world.

There will be war, and they will be right in the middle of it.

- DISCLAIMER -
This work of fiction takes place after Twilight becomes a princess, although almost immediately afterwards. It is a crossover set seven years after the events of Call of Pripyat, the third STALKER game. I will use references to every single game, including the Original Adventure arc.
- END OF DISCLAIMER -

Welcome to a crossover I wanted to do, but never had enough ideas for.
Loosely inspired by See the Zone and Survive. Uses original characters and three of the minor characters, as most of the main characters have either moved on or died in the storyline of Secrets of the Zone.

Chapters (6)

The future is not as bleak as many would have thought. While humanity may have spread amongst the stars, they do not decimate one another in warfare anymore. The main reason that the current state of military technology would render the death toll at near-cataclysmic proportions.

Humanity, however, has not lost the very violent natures that its ancestors once honed in order to create the perfect soldier, one who had full control over mind, body, and spirit. They squirm in their peacetime, wanting, needing to find something to fight. The aliens they coexist with share the exact same need, their warlike tendencies beginning to work against their peace.

Ten years after the declaration of universally accepted peace, the War Games were founded. A single galaxy was designated, where the Interstellar Battle Fortress made its appearance. A mobile fortress that was a cloning facility, factory, and colony, all in one.

Only those who had proven themselves in the military command of their respective factions could be awarded the chance to enter the galaxy of Messier 83, the battleground of the War Games.

Planets would be conquered, lives would be lost, all in the name of galactic entertainment.

But when a far-away planet makes its way into the War Games, a planet filled with a race entirely non-humanoid in nature, will it shift the balance of the Games?

These are the tactics of the future. Welcome, commanders, to the War Games.

"Well, maggots! My name is Lieutenant Aldo Raine, and I'm looking for the best of the- well, whatever the best is that you got!" - Lieutenant Aldo Raine, upon becoming the Boot Kamp's main instructor.

No matter where a character lives or dies, no matter what cartoon, and no matter just how horrible they may seem, they will always end up at King K. Rool's Boot Kamp for Kartoons. From exploding potatoes, to glowing original characters that could be seen from space, to the ever-present Aldo Raine who seems to know exactly what you are doing as you do it, but lets you do it anyways, no day will ever be normal when you enter the Boot Kamp.

[This is an open fic collaboration. If anyone wants to write a chapter for this, they just have to PM me and ask me for the three rules for a such a fic.]
