As punishment for his actions, Sprout Cloverleaf is sentenced to clean up all the rubble from Sunny Starscout's destroyed lighthouse. Furious at how successful Sunny is, at how happy all the Unicorns and Pegasi are with their magic, and at how his mother Phyllis has begun to distance herself from him; Sprout constantly stewed in his anger and wished for some way to get revenge. However, when he comes across the ancient Bewitching Bell among Argyle's collection of Equestrian artifacts, it seems that the bigoted would-be emperor would finally get his wish.

Sunny and her friends soon find themselves fighting and fleeing for their very lives as they are faced with the newly self-proclaimed "Final Emperor of Equestria."

Sunny Starscout; with the help from her new friends Izzy Moonbow, Hitch Trailblazer, Pipp Petals, and Zip Storm; have done so much good in restoring Friendship and Magic to Equestria. However, one burning question has been on Sunny's mind: why was Friendship and Harmony replaced by paranoia and distrust in the first place? Why did the three pony races turn on each other after being united for so long before?

Well, after quite a bit of research and searching, Sunny was able to track down the one creature who knew the answer to that question. Even before entering his home, Sunny knew that it was going to be a tragic and heavy tale. . .

Takes place some time after the events of My Little Pony: A New Generation (2021).

Centuries ago, Princess Celestia stole a dragon's egg to fulfill a prophecy, and found it necessary to deal with the egg's mother to keep said prophecy from being compromised. But now that the prophecy has been fulfilled, and her time as a princess is over, Celestia decided that it was time for the truth to come out.

It was also time for Celestia to face the consequences of her actions.

With the immense power gained with her new role as Equestria's sole princess, Twilight Sparkle has also received the ability of foresight Celestia had held for so long. However, Princess Twilight's power to see into the future is far stronger than Celestia's ever was. She has seen visions of the world over a thousand years into the future, where the pony world of Equestria has lost its magic. Friendship and Harmony have been replaced by paranoia and mistrust, and Ponies now live separated by species. Everything she and her friends had worked for would inevitably be eroded away, erased, destroyed, and made futile. This knowledge rocked Princess Twilight to her core. The idea that everything she had ever worked would be rendered meaningless was almost too painful to bear. And so, in her grief, she came to a decision.

If she could not change the future, she would kill it.

Princess Celestia has seen occasional visions of the future in her sleep, but none so vivid as the ones regarding purple spotted dragon egg. She saw the egg hatch, and the dragon within live and grow among ponies. What's more, Celestia saw key events of the future play out in the most favorable ways possible, all because of that one dragon: the discovery of the Bearer of the Element of Magic, the second defeat of Discord, the second and third defeats of Sombra, and the rise of two rulers who would become invaluable allies of Equestria.

Celestia's visions also showed her where to find the egg. . .

The Spirit of the Tree of Harmony has always been a strange personality. Due to the very few times it has appeared to the Student Six, it was hard to decipher it's thoughts and desires beyond "friendship" and "harmony." However, one night, while Gallus is fretting over a test and is aided by this spirit, it reveals a hidden desire that was very surprising and unexpected indeed.

It wants to know what having a physical, living, real body feels like; and Gallus' body has perked her interest. But what's more unexpected is that Gallus lets the Spirit borrow it.

We've seen how Pony Life Fluttershy tries to open a cardboard box, but how would Friendship is Magic Fluttershy go about opening a cardboard box? How much difficulty would that version of Fluttershy have opening such a box? (Hint: A lot of trouble). Also, incidentally, WHAT'S INSIDE?!! (Hint: It's not a phone).

Applebloom's life couldn't be better. The Cutie Mark Crusaders all have their Cutie Marks, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon have stopped being bullies, the Apple siblings know the truth about their parents, Grand Pear and Granny Smith have finally let go of their mutual hatred and put the Apple-Pear feud in the past, the Crusaders are allowed to be tutors in the School of Friendship, Cozy Glow is in Tartarus, Scootaloo is no longer in danger of being forced to move away, and all the worries that had been giving Applebloom nightmares have ceased to exist.

Unfortunately, there's something who doesn't appreciate Applebloom's newfound contentment. Something that has long since been overlooked by Princess Luna of all ponies. Even worse, it plans to find a sense of contentment of its own; and with a little help from Spoiled Rich, it just might succeed in doing so, with catastrophic consequences for everycreature in Ponyville.

There once was a mare who's special talent compelled her to become a movie star. One day she met a stallion in Equestria, but the stallion had been born neither in Equestria, nor as a stallion, but on Earth as a man. Yet there the human screenwriter was, now turned pony and with an uncertain future. The mare became that stallion's guide in this new world, and their perfectly matched dreams and talents gave each other hope for the future. Then the time came for the human turned pony to go back to his home world, lest he suffer a terrible fate. The pair said their goodbyes, and that was to be the end. . . . . .

It's not been very long since the defeat of Tirek, Cozy Glow, and Chrysalis; Twilight Sparkle' grand coronation will soon come to pass; and Starlight Glimmer will finally become Headmare of the School of Friendship. After all that has happened, Starlight finally feels that she had adequately redeemed herself and can finally move on from her past misdeeds.

Unfortunately, there's a whole universe full of ponies that won't let things go so easily.
