Starlight and Spike reveal to Pinkie Pie that they need some memories of Pinkie and Twilight’s moments to add to their scrapbook to give to Twilight in Canterlot. Agreeing to help, she has some cakes to get Twilight to try for her coronation. As this happens, a strange new artist claims a recently painted, unidentifiable mural as his own. However, all is not what it seems as the new artist is actually a Robotron, under the Storm King’s new minions...Blaze and Roxy, who are now revived as robots! If that wasn’t enough, the rangers’ & Ponies’ arsenal are being locked, and It’s up to Pinkie Pie to save her friends, which leads to the sudden presence of a new 6th ranger! Is this new ranger friend or foe?

Spike was put in charge of finding the rogue Changeling in the Crystal Empire, and met Thorax in one of the arctic caves. Thorax revealed that he wasn’t like Chrysalis and wanted to share love, instead of feasting on it. As a result, Spike offered to help by having him disguise as a crystal Pony to gain their respect in time.

However, Thorax’s cover was blown when Cadence introduced him to Flurry Heart, making everyone shun him. This left Spike with the most powerful decision: To tell the whole empire that the Changeling is his friend, by singing a song about how everyone...even enemies can change.

But, what if something else happened?

What if instead of meeting Flurry Heart (which led to Thorax’s cover being blown), Spike and Thorax both ran away to save face, and themselves? How different would it have been? How would Twilight and Starlight react? How would Cadence and Shining Armor react? How would the empire react?

What would happen next would be the empire, Shining, Cadence, Twilight and Starlight having to go search for the missing dragon and Changeling, and they would also learn a different way that there is such a thing as a nice Changeling. What if that happened instead of a song?

On their first “true” friendship mission to Griffonstone, Rainbow Dash is reunited with an old friend...Gilda, whom she had a bone to pick with since her last time with her, and how she disrespected Pinkie Pie. They all found out the the Idol of Boreas once united the Griffins, and without it, the town was dreary than ever.

They decide to try to retrieve it, and they almost do, but Gilda saves them and forgets the idol, upon realizing a moment when they were good friends together, and decides that friendship is much more important than gold.

But, what if she saved more than her friends?

What if she not only saved Rainbow and Pinkie, but also saved the Idol of Boreas as well? How different would it turn out? How would Rainbow and Pinkie react? Would it still end the same?

This story is a sequel to Lustering Steel

Following the defeat of Evox, Earth and Equestria are safe once more with new Morph-X towers being built, and the rangers are developing new ranger tech. Also, with Rarity expecting Twilight's arrival for her new dress, Starlight and Spike decide to make a magical scrapbook to surprise Twilight at her coronation. However, all may not be well yet. Steel has found some clues that an old foe the Mane Six had defeated a long time ago may have returned, and the rangers and their friends are skeptical about all this. But, when a disturbance happens nearby, the rangers, Starlight, Spike and Rarity will have to get back together to take on a threat that is old news to Equestria, but new to the rangers! This could lead to a new battle that no one had ever expected, as the heroes not only cross paths with this villain, but Rarity and her friends reminisce about their past moments of generosity.

When Twilight and Rainbow Dash sent the students home, their decorations for Hearthswarming were ruined by a mystery pranker! Suspecting that one of her students was behind it, she made them stay to clean up the mess and come clean, as they bond over shared memories of home.

But what if they weren’t at the school, after the mystery pranker ruined the decorations?

What if instead of being the suspects of a fowl prank, the Young Six decided to surprise Twilight and make it up to her by winning money to buy her new decorations and a tree for the school? How would that turn out for their teachers who witnessed the prank?

The answer: It would turn out different for them as the Young Six would go on this game show, where the answers are presented in the form of a question, to win cash prizes and special vacations. And the game is hosted by Alex Trebek.

This will open the rift to other worlds, and put many of them at stake. If this happens, this could be a dangerous disaster for everyone! She decides to go with Trixie, but upon leaving, Twilight and the others were captured by Queen Chrysalis which made Starlight come back and get an unlikely team to save them!

What if instead of witnessing Pinkie’s prank, she shut herself in her house to protect herself from the wrath of the cookie zombies? How would Pinkie react? More importantly, how would all of Ponyville react?

And, that child turns out to be a pony you all might know from the realms of Equestria, and Twilight’s future potion-prentice!

This is the story of how Rainbow Dash, and her mates, Starlight and Spike welcome their newest addition to their family: Potion Nova!...and how she came to be.
