Previously on our last story, Starlight, Spike and Rainbow Dash all got drunkenly married last night! Unbeknownst to them, two Ex-Wonderbolts, Windrider and Stormy Flare got married AFTER them that same night. They woke up shocked that they were in bed with each other, only to remember what happened that night as they snuggled back to sleep.
Twilight, at Rainbow’s hotel room door, listened and heard them snoring, and realized that it would be best to let them sleep until they got up. She slowly started to leave to go down to the breakfast room, and meet up with the others for breakfast. “I should leave them alone.” Twilight said to herself, smiling as she left. “They deserve this.” And she left to go to breakfast. Which is where we come in.
At the casino, Rarity was still playing the slot machines from last night, since she fought that lurker back and forth. She looked extremely tired, as she wins again. “Yay, I win again.” She said sarcastically and tired.
Pinkie Pie came up to her. “Hey Rarity, did you see anyone else?” She asked. “I haven't seen others yet. And they were supposed to meet us at the breakfast room for breakfast!”
“No.” Rarity replied, still mesmerized in the slot machines.
Pinkie could then see that Rarity’s eyes were bloodshot and tired from playing the slot machines. “Hey, how much have you won?” She asked her.
“$731.75” Rarity said.
“Wow!” Pinkie said surprised. “How long have you been at this?“
Rarity turned to face her. “About 12 Hours now.” She said.
“What...? 12 hours?!” Pinkie was shocked, as she started to head to the breakfast room. “Okay, well I'm going to meet up with the others for breakfast.” She started to head for said room.
“Okay.” Rarity said as her friend went to breakfast. “Be right there. And by ‘right there’, I mean until I try to win another $731.75!” She started to play another slot machine, then felt her stomach rumble, as she stopped playing and went to breakfast.
At the breakfast buffet, Pinkie and Rarity were already sitting at the table as Rainbow Dash entered.
“Mornin’, Girls.” She said. “Well, that was one crazy night we had last night.”
“Oh Rainbow Darling, I know.” Rarity said sweetly. “You want some of my breakfast?” She generously offered.
“Nah, I’m too tired to eat.” Rainbow said, still feeling tired from last night. “I’ll probably eat in like 5 minutes or so. I guess I’ll just fly home with you guys. What time’s your hot air balloon back to Ponyville?”
Rarity was shocked that she was going to fly home with them. What about flying solo. “What about your private balloon?” She asked.
Rainbow shook her head anymore. “I don’t need that anymore.” She said.
“No, Rainbow!” Pinkie insisted. “You went with Starlight and Spike. You have to do the same way back.”
“I don’t want to fly all the way back by myself, I get so lonely.” She said. Suddenly, she got an idea. “Oh—ooh! How about you come with us?”
Pinkie groaned in nervousness. “I don’t know, it’s such a long trip.“ she shrugged.
“It’ll be great!” Rainbow said excitedly. “We-we could talk, and play games! Huh? This could be our chance to like renew our friendship.“
“Are you asking me to have a frenaissance?“ Pinkie asked skeptically.
Rainbow facehoofed. “Ugh! Don’t say it like that! But, Sure?“ she asked.
“All right.“ Rarity said. “That could happen. Although I don’t think we really need one. Pinkie never stopped pranking with you.”
Rainbow shared a smile and a giggle as Twilight and the rest of their friends arrived to meet up with the others. They were so excited to see each other again after a long, crazy night.
“Hi!” Rainbow, Pinkie, and Rarity said to their friends.
“Hey.“ Twilight and the rest of the ponies said.
“Hey.“ Spike and Starlight said as they sat next to their wife for breakfast.
“So, has anyone talked to Mr. and Mrs. Flare yet?” Applejack asked them.
Rainbow shared a giggle. “Mr. & Mrs. Flare?” She jokingly asked. “If you mean Windrider and Stormy Flare, then yes. They should be here any minute.”
“Where is the waitress?!” Moody Root asked, waiting for food. “We’re starving!”
“It’s a buffet, Moody Root.” Mrs. Hoofington said to him. “Settle down, just relax.” Moody Root did so, and decided to continue talking to the others.
“Oh, here’s where I win all my money back!” Pickle said as he and Barley got up, and headed for the buffet table with Rainbow Dash in tow.
She met up with the Barrel twins. “Listen, I gotta talk to you.“ she said to them nervously.
“Sure, Rainbow Dash!” Barley said content. “What’s up?” She grabbed a plate and proceeds to load it with a huge pile of scrambled eggs with her brother following suit. Rainbow just stared at them, and they reluctantly gives her a spoonful.
Rainbow took a deep breath. This was it! There was no turning back. “Starlight, Spike and I got married last night.”
“Oh my God!That’s huge! Barley said as she hugged her. She stopped and realized something. “Wait a minute, how come we didn’t find you in your hotel room last night? And who was going to be your best mare? Don’t say, "Fluttershy." Do not say, "Fluttershy."
Rainbow took in another deep breath. “Look, I just think Starlight, Spike and I are going to be having a lot of new responsibilities now. Y’know?” She said. “I mean, I love them and everything but coming out of that chapel was like a blur that we have new things we’re not ready for. Y’know? And, how can we get through it?”
“Oh! Tell them they’re not marriage material.“ Pickle said.
Rainbow was confused. “What?!” She asked.
Pickle blushed as he realized what he was saying. “Oh...that wasn’t you.” He said, as Barley nudged him hard in the gut, and went back to the table, where meanwhile, Starlight was having the same conversation with Twilight.
“How do we tell Rainbow that it’s too soon for these new responsibilities?” Starlight asked, going into “Twilighting” mode. “It’s gonna break her heart.”
“Well you don’t.” Twilight said seriously before going back into calm mode. “And, by the way, Spike? You and Starlight are old enough to make your own choices. I’m just so proud of you two being married to a Wonderbolt now!” She hugged them tightly and sweet.
“Whoa! Thanks, Twilight.” Spike said as they smiled. “We really appreciate it.” Twilight released the hug.
“I know you do!” Twilight said sweetly. “I was just testing you.
“Hi.” Rainbow and the Barrel Twins said as they went back to their spots at the table.
“Oh hi! Hi!” Twilight said, trying to cover this up. “Y’know, we were just talking about bacon.” She earned a play nudge from Starlight and Spike.
“No, we were talking about tennis.” Spike said, as Starlight covered up her mouth as she smiled nervously. “Tennis is more believable.“ Starlight nodded, not knowing what they were talking about.
At that moment, Windrider and Stormy Flare, who got married the same night as Rainbow and her friends arrived at the table to join the others.
“Hey!” Windrider said, as he sat down with his new wife.
“Hey!” Everyone else said as they joined them.
“Hey!“ Rainbow said smugly as the new Wonderbolt couple sat down with the other couple. Stormy was pouring some coffee.
They were acting like nothing’s happened and everyone just stared at them. Windrider thought they were talking about something they missed. “What?” He asked confused.
“Are you gonna talk about what you guys did last night? Or…“ Sunny asked them.
“I don’t know.” She said to her husband, before turning to the gang. “What do you mean last night? Nothing, nothing uh, happened last night.”
“Yeah!” Windrider said, trying to pretend like nothing happened.
“Uh-huh!” Diane said, skeptically. “The Hoofingtons invited us all to watch.” The Hoofingtons, themselves blushed, as they somehow knew what happened last night.
The two Wonderbolts looked at each other stunned. For a moment, no one said anything. No one even KNEW what to say! Finally, Cozy Glow broke the silence. “Stormy!” She blurted out. “We weren’t gonna miss our friends getting married!”
Stormy gasped. “Who got married?!” She asked in shock. Windrider was as surprised to hear this as she was.
“You did?” Rainbow said, pointing to them, not quite sure.
The two Wonderbolts looked at their friends in disbelief “What?! Hello! We didn’t get married.” Windrider said.
“No, we didn’t get married! That’s ridiculous!” Stormy said. Suddenly, they both gasped in shock and suddenly remembered that they did in fact get married last night! The same night Rainbow, Spike and Starlight got married. “Oh my God.” Stormy Flare realized as the others were there last night. “We DID get married!”
“I—They would not let you get married when you were that drunk!” Windrider said to them in shock and confusion to the others.
“Actually, I’m not sure if you knew this.” Torque said, as she pointed to the two mares and drake. “And this is directed at you three as well. They let you get married when you’re drunk! Most people who get married in Las Pegasus are drunk!”
“Hell, I’m drunk right now!” Fluttershy said, jokingly. Everyone all turned and look at her as if she were crazy. “What?” She asked confused. “I can’t have a mimosa with breakfast?! I’m on vacation with my wife!”
Twilight giggled and hugged her. “Yeah. You are.” She smiled.
“This is HUGE, Y’all!” Applejack said in amazement. “So, What are you guys gonna do? Well, for Starters, what are Rainbow, Starlight and Spike gonna do?, and what are Windrider and Stormy Flare gonna do?” She pointed to the two married groups as she said that.
“Well, this is so huge!” Starlight said, as she put her hooves on her head, worried. “Me and my mates are now thrown into new responsibilities we’re not ready for! I mean...how are we going to handle this financially? How am I going to juggle my job as guidance counselor and my life with my mates? Don’t we realize we’re not going to have dates again...let alone see any pony else for the next eighteen years? How are we going to tell our parents that we got married, and we didn’t tell them?”
“Well, somehow married life can be tough to handle. And there’s no doubt it can be a rocky road.” Twilight said to them. “But when you persevere and keep believing in yourself and your friends, you can get through anything.” She smiled.
“But, what are we going to DO?” Starlight asked in further worry. “How are we going to navigate through these hard times, while we have our jobs and whatnot?” Starlight asked.
“It's going to be fine.” Twilight reassured them. “Everything about your marriage just feels right.“
Starlight and her mates took in a deep breath, realizing she was right. They could now feel more comfortable about all this. “See? If Twilight isn't stressed, we’ve got nothing to worry about.” Starlight said. The others thought that sounded right as they knew whatever their new married life would entail, they would get through it together.
“I’m gonna go to the bathroom before we go.” Applejack said, as she went to go to said room, leaving everyone else to talk about these new responsibilities.
“Well, that’s ONE less thing we have to worry about.” Rainbow said. She then turned to Windrider. "Ooooo, Spitfire is gonna kill you."
"Thanks, Dash, that makes me feel so much better." Windrider said sarcastically, and uncomfortably as the other laughed.
"Laugh it up, but the joke’s on you." Stormy Flare said, jokingly. "Because we don’t need to let my daughter know, okay? We were just gonna tell her we're gonna get an annulment."
"An annulment? Windrider!" Starlight said to them bluntly. "I don’t think an annulment's the answer here."
"Doesn't matter!" Kerfluffle said, shedding some light on the subject. "What really matters is that this is great!" She beamed as she stood up to hug Stormy.
Just then Pinkie blurted out something random. "Oh-oh, that’s your thing."
Windrider was confused that what she said threw everyone in for a loop. "What?" he asked.
"You’re thing, Darling." Rarity said, recalling what happened during the air show when Spitfire was 'sick'. "Y’know? You’re the guy who gets kicked off the Wonderbolts."
"Oh yeah!" Everyone cheered sarcastically.
"No-no, that’s-that’s not my thing!" Windrider stammered in shock. "I do not love getting in trouble! Like getting kicked off of the Wonderbolts! That was years ago!"
"Yes, you do!" Torque said sarcastically. "This is your second time 'getting in trouble'! You love divorce so much you’re probably gonna marry it! Then it won’t work out and you’re gonna have to deal with it." No one said anything, as that was pretty awkward...what she just said.
Finally, Fluttershy broke the silence with, "I’m so drunk."
"Fluttershy!" Rainbow said, seriously & getting the mare's attention.
The kind mare blushed. "Oh, sorry." She whispered.
Torque then spoke up as well. "Sorry." She confessed. "It really isn't that funny."
"We know. So what are you gonna do?" Sunny asked with the others wanting to know.
"Well, I guess the only thing we really CAN do is head back to Ponyville." Rainbow said, still feeling a little groggy and tired. “Can I ask you something, Egghead?”
Twilight felt a little shocked and decided to just move on. “Uh, no.” She said.
“Well, too bad, I’m gonna tell you anyway.” She said. “You know, my mates and I, were watching The Iron Giant, and I was thinking, "I’m never gonna be as good an actor as that giant." Do you think I’m just wasting my life with this acting thing?”
Twilight was a little shocked that she was talking about this, but decided to just go on with it. “No.” She said nervously.
“I mean...the giant is like five years younger than me.” Rainbow continued. You know? You think I’ll ever get there?” She asked.
“Yes.” Twilight said, not knowing where this conversation was going.
“Thanks, Twi.” Rainbow said happily.
“Okay.” Twilight said as she started for the bathroom as well.
She was stopped as Rainbow started asking again. “But what about how much taller he is than me?” Twilight groaned and facehoofed.
“I mean, there’s no way I can make myself taller now, y’know?” She continued. “And who knows what science will come up with in the future? But, Twilight, what if I die an unsuccessful, regular mare?”
Starlight, Spike and Twilight were all shocked at that. “What makes you say that?” Starlight asked confused.
“You are anything but a regular mare?” Twilight said, smiling, which made Rainbow smile.
“Aw, thanks guys!” She said happily. “It’s great, knowing I got friends like you who got my back.” She embraced with her friends in a hug.
At that moment, Applejack came back and was a little miffed as she came back from the bathroom. The others took notice as Rainbow noticed. “Hey, Applejack, you’ve been in the bathroom for like a half-hour.“ she said sarcastically as the others shared a laugh.
“I know!” She said gruffly, before sharing a laugh like the others. “Yeah, too bad we could've stayed here for a few more days." Applejack said calmly while the others nodded.
"Well, I think we better get packed and check out of the hotel soon." Pickle said as Barley nodded.
"Yeah!" Barley said in agreement. "We'll meet you guys back at the entrance."
"And then, we go back to Ponyville." Twilight finished.
"No." Mrs. Hoofington corrected. "We gotta drop off the two fliers at Cloudsdale." the two married fliers nodded.
"Then, we go back to Ponyville." Pinkie finished. Everyone nodded.
A little while later, everyone had finished their last day breakfast. Pinkie stuffed herself silly with her food, while the rest looked at her. Luckily, she didn't notice them. Suddenly, she stopped.
"I'm full." She said, patting her belly.
"Twilight, ya owe me 20 bucks." Fluttershy said, drunkenly to her, realizing the bet they had just made.
"What?" Twilight asked confused, as the rest of the Mane 7 went "Ooooooh!"
"Come on. We'd better get down to the entrance before they find our balloon and give it to somepony else or something." Cozy said as the others got up.
"Yeah, you're right, Cozy." Moody Root said. "Come on!"
Just then, Diane had an idea, as she piped up to Pinkie and the rest of the ponies. "Can I go with you back to Ponyvile?" She asked.
Twilight smiled. "Sure, Diane." She said. "There's always room for one more party planner!"
This made Diane jump in excitement as that meant she could come home with her sister, and enjoy life in Ponyville!" Alright!" She cried out in joy. "WHOO HOO!"
"Now, come on." Twilight said. "We're going now."
"She's right, ya'll." Applejack said in agreement. "Let's go."
They all packed up their stuff and met at the entrance of the room. They checked out, and walked out of the hotel, and boarded their balloons. Twilight and the others boarded on balloon, while Rainbow and her mates boarded another private balloon.
After both balloons took off, it was pretty much smooth sailing as Twilight and the whole gang were laughing, and reflecting back on the whole trip and how great it was.
Twilight and her friends started the whole conversation off. "So, Stormy remind me again...are you friend or family?" she asked nervously.
"Family." Stormy responded, "But I'm also now a friend to you." she smiled at Twilight as she smiled too. "My daughter's a Wonderbolt, and I'm really proud she made it this far! I'm even surprised she got Rainbow Dash IN to the Wonderbolts reserves...and later the Wonderbolts!"
"Well, it all seems like yesterday since we first met you." Rarity started.
Stormy was confused. "What?" She asked.
"Well, I met you at one of the air shows when Rainbow Dash was being framed during that time." Rarity clarified. "It just still feels like not too long ago."
Stormy and Windrider shared a chuckle as they remembered that time when they first met. "That was 4 years ago, and even we still haven't forgotten how THAT fiasco happened." Windrider said as the others chuckled.
The balloon landed at Cloudsdale where Stormy and Windrider both started to get off. "So my friends got their moment in the sun. Or the center of an aerial flower, as the case may be." Rarity continued. "And as for us? We got a chance to go to Las Pegasus as a group together!"
"That's nice, dear." Stormy said. "But, we're already here."
Rarity turned to see the new married Bolts were off the balloon and at their house. "Oh, did I say that out loud?" she asked as all her friends all nodded. "Well, no wonder!"
"Well, we gotta go! We'll see you later!" Windrider said as the balloon left Cloudsdale and into the next location. "Come back and visit our humble abode some time soon!" he called as they waved at their leaving friends.
"We will!" Diane called out from the leaving balloon. As the balloon left, the two started back into Spitfire's house where they would live...and break the news to Stormy's daughter about them being married!
"I thought that went pretty smooth!" Windrider said happily as they made their way into the house, with Stormy nodding in agreement.
Meanwhile on Rainbow Dash’s balloon, the married triple was going over the funniest moments, and awkward bumps during this trip, but also how they managed to make it a memorable one.
Pinkie Pie was somehow in the other balloon with them instead of Twilight’s because she didn’t want their to be confusion with two pies in the balloon, and she wanted some time to spend with Rainbow and her friends on the ride home.
Pinkie was in the middle of a 20 Questions game with her friends, while they, themselves were already feeling tired due to ordeal they had last night. “Okay, you have 19 questions left. Use them wisely.” Pinkie announced. She then saw that her friends were about to fall asleep. “Come on, Girls!” She said frustrated. “You can’t win if you don’t ask any QUESTIONS!!!“
All three lovers snapped awake after hearing the party mare’s angry response. “What?!” they all asked in shock, not knowing what their friend was talking about.
Pinkie was feeling a little more stressed by the minute, and decided to step it up a notch. “Well, you promised us a fun balloon trip! We’ve been up in the air for a half hour and you three have been asleep for fifteen minutes!” She said, getting more stressed. “We are switching when we pass the next cloud and you are going to come up with another game to pass the time!” She pointed to the three as she said that. “That will be your punishment, you lazy sleepers!“
The three were shocked that Pinkie could pull out some powerful punishments, and didn’t want to anger her more. “All right.” Starlight said, giving in.
“All right.” Rainbow said, giving in as well.
“Yeah!” Pinkie thought about what else she could get them to do. And then, she thought of it! “And until then, you are going to sing to me because the radio’s broken and you three are selfish but have nice voices.“ she smirked at them devilish.
“Really?” Rainbow asked. “Because, this sounds nothing like...”
“Sing!” Pinkie demanded.
“Argh! Fine! Spike?” Rainbow asked. Spike got up and got ready to sing as his two wives out earplugs on jokingly.
“I wanna rock and roll all night!” Spike sung as Pinkie and the others kicked back for a nice rest, but it wouldn’t be for long as they would arrive at home back soon.
The Mane six, and their Hope Hollow friends were still chatting in their balloon, meanwhile and the balloon was almost to the borders of Ponyville.
Some of them were still excited about how the trip went for them. “Well I can definitely say that was the most interesting trip we have ever taken.” Applejack said excitedly.
“And don't forget, we owe it all to Rainbow Dash!” Cozy said, finishing the sentence.
Petunia smiled. “So what did Windrider and Stormy day exactly about your friends getting married?” She asked curiously.
“Well, they said they couldn’t believe it, but they’re gonna try to make their OWN marriage work.” Diane said to them.
“So, are Spike and his wives going to give birth to their baby soon?” Pickle asked out of curiosity. Everyone was shocked at what he just said. “There was a pregnancy test in the garbage a few weeks earlier and it’s positive. Rainbow’s pregnant. So I guess we won’t be totally alone?”
“Hey, what you do on your time...” Mr. Hoofington said, playfully nudging him while his wife chuckled.
“Well, the girls actually just want to spend a little more time together first, Darling.” Rarity explained. “...before they have the baby, which they most definitely will!”
“And Pickle, you and Barley must be relieved now that you guys went to Las Pegasus for the first time.” Fluttershy told them happily.
“Yeah.” The twins said, as they shared a little chuckle.
“Yeah. Well, I guess we somehow got lucky, don’t you know?” Barley said, as everyone shared a laugh with her about her remark.
“Well, at least everything is back to normal.” Diane said.
“Yeah!” Applejack chimed in. “And now, we can go back to the way we were.”
“And what way was that exactly?” Rarity asked quizzically.
Just then, the balloon started to lower down from the clouds and into Ponyville. The ponies looked and were excited that they were home.
“Sweet Celestia, Darling! We’re coming home!” Rarity called out as the balloon was lowering into the town.
The balloon finally landed in the town square of Ponyville as the Mane six, and Cozy came off and hit the ground. “Oh, that was fun!” Fluttershy said in silent excitement. “Yay!”
“So, this is where Pinkie lives?” Diane asked as she looked around and saw how lush the town looked. She saw Sugarcube Corner where Pinkie worked. “And that’s where Pinkie worked and I’ll be living?! Alright!” Diane jumped around in excitement bouncing here, and there. And everywhere! “I cant believe I’ll be living here!”
“Yes, girls!” Twilight said as she got off. “It looks like we’re home.” She looked around, and was happy they came home.
“I’m glad you guys are home!” Moody Root said happily to them. “That was sure one doozy of a ride, huh?”
“It sure was!” Fluttershy said. “Maybe, you can visit Twilight’s castle a little more! Maybe she can give you a tour!” Twilight blushed happily as her wife said that.
“Speaking of...” Sunny said. “We’d better make a beeline back to Hope Hollow!” He started to lift the balloon back up in the air as he and the others lifted off into the sky.
“Good bye, Mayor Skies!” Twilight called out from below. “Come back and see us sometime!”
“We will!” Sunny said as the balloon left Ponyville and started back to Hope Hollow. “We’ll see you soon!”
“Good bye!” The remainder of the Mane Six called out as Sunny and the others were on their way back to Hope Hollow.
That left Twilight and her friends to head back to their homes. They were happy that their friends got married, and that they came to Las Pegasus to unwind, have some fun and chill out. And enjoy some moments in love. They smiled at each other together. What could possibly spoil this one moment of happy homecoming?
“I’ll see y’all later, Sugarcubes.” Applejack said as she started to head back to Sweet Apple Acres. “Ah gotta get back and see how Applebloom and the other apples are doing. I know they can manage without me, but they might need some help. See ya later!” And she went back to pick up Appleseed and head back to her farm.
Rarity was ready to head back as well. “I’d better go pick up Blizzard Fury and see Cadence.” She said. “She coming to Carousel Boutique and I better see if I have a room for her. And I also wanted you to know that I am telling Sweetie Belle that she’s now has a brother today. So long, Darlings!” She went back to pick up her son, and head to the boutique to tell Sweetie Belle and help Cadence with a room.
Diane was ready to head back as well. “I’d better get ready to move into Sugarcube Corner and help the cakes with their new assistant. See ya!” She cartwheeled to Sugarcube Corner to meet the Cakes and help with baking goods.
Cozy was also ready to head back. “I almost forgot!” She said in shock. “I’d better head back to the school if I want to pass my friendship test this week!” And she flew off to the School of Friendship and to her dorm to get ready for her test.
That left Twilight and Fluttershy at the Center. The two stood there for a few moments. Finally, Fluttershy broke the silence. “I think we should head back to the castle.” She said.
“Good point.” Twilight agreed. “We should also pick up Sparkling Serenity from Cheerliee’s and check on the castle.” They started to head to Cheerliee’s to pick up their daughter. “I bet Sparkling missed us.” She said smiling.
“I think she does miss her mommies.” Fluttershy said in her sweet baby talk, which made her wife smile and giggle. “We should go get her.”
Twilight smiled. “Come on, Fluttershy.” She said. “Let’s get her home.” They went to pick up their daughter before heading back to the castle of Friendship.
Meanwhile, in the other balloon, Pinkie, Spike and his two wives were still trying to stay awake singing, as part of Pinkie’s punishment, but they kept falling asleep, which really frustrated the party mare.
Spike was still singing, but it was hard to do that when you keep falling asleep. Anyways, he was singing half-awake, half-asleep. “Man, this is a long fly!” He said tired. “Are my eyes open? No!”
Their balloon passed down through the clouds and into Ponyville in the town square. They were still sleeping as the balloon lowered down. Pinkie slowly woke up and saw the mores and drake right by her. She screamed, which made the other three wake up and scream back!
“Morning!” A voice called out from under the balloon, which made them all scream again!
They later calmed down in a matter of seconds when they saw the Ponyville square. They were excited. “Oh, hey!” Rainbow called out as the others looked too. “We’re landing back in Ponyville!”
“Yay!” Spike, Starlight and Pinkie said excited as the balloon landed in the town square, right next to the water fountain.
“I never thought I’d say this...but it’s nice to be back home!” Starlight said with relief as she and her friends all jumped off the balloon and landed safely.
“Twilight? Fluttershy??” Pinkie called out. “It’s us! We just wanted to tell you we’re home, and...” she looked around for their friends, but they weren’t here.
“Uh, Welcoming committee or not, Pinkie, Nopony's here.” Starlight said, as they looked and saw nopony there.
Pinkie’s ears flopped and her mane deflated in defeat. “Oh, we’re too late!” Pinkie said sadly. “We missed them being here! And just my luck! Just when I was about to go say hi to them!” They all looked down sadly, after the saw that everyone had just left.
Pinkie looked back up. “Well, I’d better go pick up Confetti Cauldron and see how Zecora is doing.” She said, before heading to Cheerliee’s. “I hope she’s not doing anything fun without me!” She dashed off. “See you later!”
That left with only Spike and his wives. “I guess that leaves us.” He said to his besties.
They didn’t know WHERE to head back. “Uh, should we go to Twilight’s?” Rainbow suggested. “Because it’s also YOUR home, and all.”
“But, that’s where Twilight and Fluttershy live!” Starlight pointed out. “And, we’d feel like a burden...with stopping and staying there and all...”
“Maybe...Cloudsdale?” Rainbow suggested.
“But only Pegasi can walk on clouds!” Starlight pleaded. “And, Non-Pegasus ponies fall through the clouds.“
The two were at an impasse, and didn’t know where to go. They turned to Spike. “Well, Spike?” Rainbow asked. “Where do YOU want to go?”
“We’ll go with whatever choice you make, Spikey!” Starlight said. “We’re not going to judge you.”
Spike thought about it, and he finally answered. “It doesn’t really matter where we live.” He said to them. “Because we’re family now! And you guys have always supported me, no matter what! Even if things got tough!“ he looked at them and smiled. “No matter what choice we make, we’ll get through it together!”
His two wives smiled at him and each other. Spike did the same too, and then, they decided on where they should go. “Come on, guys.” Rainbow said as they went on the hot air balloon to Rainbow’s house. “Let’s go home.”
Their balloon was a 5-minute flight as they rose up in the sky from Ponyville to Rainbow’s cloud house. Starlight cast a spell on herself to make her walk on clouds before they arrived. They got off the balloon and entered the house.
When they came inside, they saw Scootaloo playing with her Wonderbolt action figures. When the three came inside, the young filly’s ears flickered, and she put down her toys and rushed over to greet them. “Hey! Rainbow Dash!” she said excitedly as she hugged them real tight with excitement.
“Hey!” Rainbow and Starlight said to her.
“Hi!” Spike said as he got a hug from the young filly.
“Hiya, Squirt!” Rainbow said, as she ruffled Scootaloo’s mane. “What’s up?”
Scootaloo then noticed Rainbow’s bulging belly and jumped back a little bit in shock. “You ate meat!” she said, pointing at Spike, who was shocked. “You had sex!” she said, pointing to Rainbow and Starlight as they were shocked, and Rainbow’s wings sprung up quickly as she said that.
“No, we didn’t!” Rainbow said quickly, trying to cover it up.
“I know you didn’t.” Scootaloo said calmly. “I was talking about Starlight.” She pointed to her as she said that.
Starlight was further shocked that she was pointing at her. “Scootaloo, I did not have sex.“ she said to her, worried and serious.
Scootaloo was a little shocked as she was still trying to wrap her head around this, but calmed down. “Ugh! This whole ‘not-seeing-you’ thing is throwing me all off.” She said with relief and stress like she was about to pull her mane out.
“All right, I’m gonna go say hi to Tank, and then, we’re gonna take a nap.” Rainbow said as she started to her bedroom.
“Oh, me too!” Scootaloo said, as she started to follow her.
Rainbow turned to her. “Why would you need to say ‘hi’ to them?” She asked quizzically. “You’ve been feeding him for four days while I was gone!”
“Oh, right!” Scootaloo giggled sheepishly as she blushed. “Maybe, I’ll just go to my room.” She quickly dashed to her room, while Rainbow looked suspicious as she did that.
“Well, we certainly are alone.” Spike said, coming up to her.
“Yes!” Starlight said as she came up too. “Good thing!”
“Right.” Rainbow said. Just then, she thought of something. “Umm, listen since we’re-we-re on that subject, umm, I just wanted to tell you that uh, well, I-I was going through a really hard time getting prepared for our wedding in Las Pegasus last night, what with Twilight getting married and that stallion thinking you were Twilight’s mother…” she pointed to Starlight as she said that.
“Right.” Starlight said, realizing that moment they had at Twilight’s wedding.
“Well, an-anyway, I just—that night meant a lot to me.” Rainbow nervously stammered. “I guess I’m just trying to say ‘thanks.’”
“Oh. Y’know, that night meant a lot to Starlight and I too.” Spike said, jumping in the conversation. “...and, it wasn’t because we were in a bad place or anything, it just meant a lot to us ‘cause, you both are really hot!” The two mares were shocked, as Rainbow’s wings flared up. Spike got a little nervous as his wives looked shocked at him and his blood ran cold. “Is that okay?” He asked nervously.
The two mares shared a laugh and decided that that was okay for him to talk about. “That’s okay.” They both said in unison.
“And I’m cute too.” Spike said to them.
“And you’re cute too.” Rainbow said to him as Starlight giggled and nodded in agreement.
“Thank you!” Spike said, as he and his wives all pulled themselves in for a strong, loving hug. After a few minutes, they broke the hug.
“All right.” Rainbow said tiredly. “I gotta go to my room and take a nap. You guys can come with if you want.”
“Okay.” Spike and Starlight both said as they followed Rainbow into her room. Once they reached her room and went inside, they stopped at her bed.
“I’m still on Crystal Empire time.” Rainbow said to her friends, who were feeling tired as well. “Does that count?”
“That counts!” Starlight said as she and Spike came up to her lovingly.
“Oh, good!” Rainbow said as Spike got in the bed, and his wives kissed him on both sides of the cheek and the hugged and snuggled as they landed on Rainbow’s bed and dozed off into a peaceful sleep for the rest of the afternoon. It was going to be great, happy life for Spike, Rainbow Dash and Starlight Glimmer as they were both now starting their new lives as a married couple and were ready for whatever the road took them.
