Writer, philosopher, gamer, and suprisingly, not a brony. Don't like the series enough for that, but I have found some stories here that make me chuckle or otherwise be amused.

“Of all the things which wisdom provides to make life entirely happy, much the greatest is the possession of friendship." - Epicurus

Michael Smith, a distant descendant of the Gods of Olympus, has been banished to Hades for a dishonorable death, or, at least, that's the official word. He is, however, not too pleased with this turn of events. He fights to change his situation, fights to train, fights to escape Hades. Eventually, he rekindles powers unseen in years, and uses them to escape Hades.

Equestria, however, is an unsuspecting country on an unsuspecting planet, war and murder nearly unheard of among the country's residents. They rarely have disappearances, and those that do disappear are found in short order, they never have monster attacks or animal maulings or nearly anything supernatural. They go about their daily lives never having to worry about these evils, as Cerberus guards them very well. So well, in fact, that many of them have forgotten that there were ever things that went bump in the night, so to speak. Little do they know that one of those things is escaping Hades, never to return.

Michael Smith in... GOD MODE: The Greatest Possession

Whelp, once more into the breach with a story. I'd actually like to continue the other one still, but there seem to be a grand total of like 6 people interested or something. Fun story to write, it's just I've seen in-jokes with bigger audiences. I'll probably toggle between this and AToSaS, though that doesn't necessarily mean a chapter for one, a chapter for the other and repeat. Here's to hope, that most glorious of refreshments.

By the way, this is only my third posted story. Anything you deem a problem, I will at least hear out, if not make an attempt to change. I'll be most glad for any advice, and I won't ask you to sugarcoat it.

You don't go to Hades for dying "dishonorably", whatever that's supposed to mean. You're thinking of the Norse Niflheim, as Hades was hardly a place of torment. Tartarus was reserved for those who offended the gods by being cuntwads, like Sisyphus.

Well, maybe in this fic's universe you do!

Must be horrible for all those who die 'dishonorably'

Well, to put it simply, Bonsey, Hercules, one of the last fully realized Olympians, was a pain in the ass for everybody, so most gods just seem to find it better to send Olympic descendants to Hades. Also, God Mode lore is slightly different from the Greek gods. "Hello, welcome to Hades! That's Hell in a toga," is, if I recall, the absolute first line the Spirit Guide says when you boot up the game. That implies there is a "heaven in a toga", so to speak, and while yes, the Greek gods do all sorts of shit without ever feeling like they need to justify themselves, sending somebody to Tartarus for such a shit reason or sending somebody to Hades for no reason would probably not look good on their parts. So, while yes, in pure Greek mythos, you are correct, God Mode is not pure Greek mythos. In God Mode, Atlas was turned into statues in Hades to throw giant electrical/flaming balls at people. Unless I am sorely mistaken, I am pretty sure that Atlas, in pure Greek mythos, is still holding up the sky from the earth so it doesn't crush every living thing.
