This is incredible! You nailed Rarity's character, described the scene perfectly, the whole thing was just... perfect! And for whatever reason I kind of imagined Button being the brown stallion and Sweetie belle being his "love.." then I thought, Rarity's gonna be mad. :raritydespair:
Great! Have a follow, a fave, and a like!

I agree, you really got the characters down pat, from Rarity's somewhat reluctant generosity to Spike's blunt sarcasm. Diamond Eyes felt a bit flat, but then he wasn't the focus of the story. If I had a true complaint, it's that we never learned a whole lot about the stallion himself beyond his "wuv, twoo wuv."

Not a whole lot was accomplished, but then Slice of Life is like that. Great job, author. :ajsmug:

Thank you so much for the favs and watches and undeservingly kind words man, it means a lot to me. This was originally only supposed to be a simple writing experiment where I focused only on staying cannon, so it really makes me glad to see readers picking up on that. I'm also very intrigued by your take on the brown stallion. When I first wrote this, Button Mash hadn't really blown up yet, so I pictured him as generic Dr. Whooves clone #infinity, but given time and distance, thats a nice twist to it.

Thank YOU for the kind words as well. Like I said above, it was mostly a test of staying cannon with Rarity and Spike, even to the exclusion of the other two. I see Diamond Eyes as a NPC in a video game and the brown stallion as more of a vauge idea of 'true love' which is cool in that 'true love' means a lot of different things to different people, so by leaving him a bit bland I'd hoped that people would fill in the blanks for themselves.

But I do appreciate you bringing this to my attention as I can now work on that in the future. Thank you so much. :)
