Being a private detective have not been easy for Bright Eyes, but at least it puts food on the table. Barely. When a mystery stallion arrives at her office and offers a case that sounds too good to be true, she can't help but to jump at the chance.

Finding herself in the town of Steadfast, surrounded by swamplands on three sides and the ocean on the fourth, she have to contend with dimwitted locals, mean spirited wildlife and cryptic employers in trying to track down a deranged alchemist.

There are a few errors in the second chapter. Overall, this chapter felt a little rougher, somehow.
From there she had been forced to mosey over to the local inn through a haze of fatigue and shadows.
I’m going to have to remember to buy a bottle when I return home, my roommate has a weird thing about wine.

Still an excellent first story. I'm interested. Please, go on.

I love detective novels, and I've found that only the smartest of detectives ask "why me?" Then again, the really desperate ones go for it anyway.
Hey, author, you've got a good thing started here. Don't let the lack of reception get you down.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, both of you. As of right now I got the third chapter in writing though it’ll most likely be a while, this project is half ment as practice and I need to get into writing shape. Also, the friend who is helping me edit readability into these won’t be able to help me out for a week or two.

1572236 My mistake, there. I know I talked with my pre-reader about this, though it must have slipped my mind that I never did get it properly looked over. I’ll see what I can do to clean it up. If nothing else I’ll have it fixed with chapter three. Thanks.

1576842 Thank you. And it’s not, I’m mostly writing this as practice and for my own enjoyment. I hope it will be a interesting read, it certainly is interesting to write. I’ve never tried to write something like this before, so I find myself a bit worried I’m not going to be subtle enough with some things. Or to subtle with others.

Ask and ye shall receive, huh? Thanks for the chapter!

I'm a little late to the party, but this chapter was intriguing as always. I anxiously await the dropping of the shoe.

Well, it worked last time...
