I was going to suggest that you make Zecora a chemistry teacher, but the way you have everything set up, it seems like the main characters only have one teacher for everything.
Also, I wonder if you could give Discord an appearance, assuming your story provides room for someone like him.

Looking forward to seeing Trixie as a recurring character and drop the CMC's in Spike's classes. And make the teacher Mr Hooves, a teacher who has his Doctorate in Physics. Just do a filler ep about Spike/CMC's every now and again ^^,
