I'd like everyone who decides to read this to know that it is an edited version of Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. Flowers For Algernon is a heartwarming story that I highly suggest you read.
The simple mare, Ditzy Hooves, AKA Derpy, is selected by Twilight Sparkle to be the subject of an experiment that will make Derpy smarter than any common stallion. This leads to amazing knowledge that makes Ditzy rethink her entire life from the way her friends have been treating her and her forgotten childhood to a new feeling towards her teacher, Dr. Whooves. Not related to the wall eyed pegasis mentioned.
I'm a little new to this whole "writing because you're just too bored for anything else" so be gentle. Again, I did not write all of this but merely edited it for the enjoyment of all you readers. Thank Daniel Keyes for the amazing words.

Flowers For Algernon is a long story so I'll have plenty to work with. The next chapter will be the longest so far. It'll take longer to finish but I should be able to finish it tonight.
I am not going to read this story since I read Flowers For Algernon. That book almost made me cry but now that you put Derpy in it, I don't think I'd be able to handle myself. One thing I cannot allow myself to do is cry. I give this an auto up vote purely on the basis it was written. Please do not be mad I am not going to actually read it, I just can't let myself cry. (Holds back tears. Having...trouble...holding...them...gaaah! Must...not...cry!!!)

Some of you read the "pre-release" yesterday and may have noticed that I didn't update it at noon when I said I would. In fact, I'm 12 hours late. I hope you all enjoyed the chapter or even my many silly mistakes I noticed while formatting and checking for general credentials (noBODY knows what credentials means but it makes me sound like some kind of writing major).

It’s 11:15, I’m tired, and I already posted a chapter today anyway. Well I think I want another and I’m almost done with this but I don’t feel like I should publish it. What I am going to do is keep it published until maybe 12:00 pm to 1:00. Whenever I get up I will take this chapter down and put it back up when I’m finished. As always, have fun reading this.
