Magic Surge(s)

It had been a few minutes since Twilight had entered the room… and something bizarre had happened

I felt an ominous chill run down my spine as I look outside the window to see a giant rainbow burst it's way towards us at incredible speeds

A sonic boom was heard, and the glass shattered around us

I felt my body fill with a surge of fear as I feel something inside of me get filled

I saw a purple glow emit from the room Twilight had entered, as I saw my horn begin to glow with silvery light

A large burst of magic had forcefully activated my magic surges

My horn burnt hot red due to the large amount of magic forcing its way to it, trying to escape, but my lacklustre control and no knowledge on how to release magic had caused it to build up dangerously

I had no idea how to control it, causing my horn to overheat

I heard an explosion from Twilight's room as rubble fell, and my fear for her safety grew ever greater

I looked around, seeing all the Ponies looking in extreme worry

”AHHHHHHH”

I screamed out at the top of my lungs, as my voice reached a pitch I never thought possible, and all the Ponies around me froze

My head hurt so fucking much

“IT FUCKING BURNS” I shout in pain… due to the low amounts of pain receptors in the horn because of it being a focal point of magic, I never really realised how fucking hot my horn was getting until the heat travelled down my horn and onto my head

I see a flash of white light and see a white, tall Alicorn looking over to me in surprise

She quickly turns around, using Magic to open the door to the magical testing room, only to see a floating, yet unharmed, Twilight Sparkle, as well as a giant green and purple dragon

I grit my teeth in pain, yet I feel an overwhelming calm as I see her safe(ish)

Celestia then quickly faces me, and places her horn on mine, sucking out the excess magical energy (otherwise known as mana) inside of my body, and distributing it around the place thinly, causing my horn to rapidly cool down… when I say rapidly, I mean after a good few minutes of total Goddess concentration

It took a while before the glowing started to stop

My parents were still frozen, but Ivory had managed to start moving and dashed towards me in a tackle/hug

By the time that He had hugged me, Twilight had stopped glowing, and my parents had begun to move again, but everyone else was still frozen…

“There will be no more applicants for today. You may all return tomorrow” She says in a regal tone, her powerful voice being able to shock everyone out of their frozen state

“Except, for you two” she says gently with a smirk, as me and Ivory begin moving towards our parents

Currently, both me and Twilight were sat with the royal canterlot Palace doctors, who were Examining out conditions for any irregularities

We were in a pure white, hospital looking room. The Palace infirmary

To my side was Celestia

I looked over at Twilight, and admired her new cutie mark

It was a purple Shining Star…

“Its quite rare, to have a special talent in magic” I had heard Celestia say. She must have realised what I was doing, as a bit of blush filled my face in embarrassment

I turned to my own flank in a small amount of sadness. Even though Twilight had managed to get it, I was still a blank flank…

The Doctors turned to Celestia with a nod, before leaving the room

“Congratulation, Twilight Sparkle, Demi Cube, you have been accepted into Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns, as my direct students”

All eyes widened in shock, as our expressions betrayed our suprise…

My parents and Ivory turned to me and hugged me, and Twilight's did the same for her

VERY short chap today, I had no motivation to make this chapter (I was planning to make it a lot darker but decided against it)

But in all seriousness, this is going far too well. Massive Timeskip in the next chap

Oh boy, here we go
