You're right and you're not right about the voice actors. Rainbow Dash is actually named Sandy for Sandy Duncan who played the voice of Firefly in the first generation. Firefly is the character that Rainbow Dash's personality is based off of. In regards to Spike being Charlie, Charlie Adler was the voice actor for the original Spike

I was going to go with their regular names, but Dad thought it would be funny for humans to have those kind of names as birth names. We probably won't be using them again, I was just wondering how many people would recognize them. And I forgot to mention that Shannon is the name of Pinkie's singing voice actress

I also don't think it's anything special. The names were fun but kindof unnecessary, I did like the Casters/Avians thing, but for some reason it didn't really draw me in. It just kindof... happened.
Of course, that could be a side-effect of reading at almost 3 am.

Yeah, I gotta agree here although it's gotten the requisite downvotes.
It's not bad considering some of the drek we get on this site. It's just the retelling of the opening episode with a slight twist. Instead of going to Ponyville to learn the meaning of friendship, Twilight goes there to learn from a magic user. It's not necessarily unoriginal but there's nothing really here to draw me in.
If anything, it's just kinda "meh" and it's light reading without any kind of depth.
No thumbs up but no thumbs down either.

I am interested in this. I like the stories where the ponies are actually humans instead. It allows for an different take on things.
A nice enough read, no where near deserving the down votes it has. Always good to see a humanized fic that doesn't turn Spike into a pet.
