I doubt Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Granny Smith will like on what happened to Big Mac.

:facehoof: And none of this is Big Mac's fault. Marble's the one who never said anything.

Seeing as this is Equestria, word of this WILL reach the Apples

Sure, if you take it that far. Headcanon says they had no idea what happened and he just disappeared.

If you say so.

Word of a disappearance sure, they've got a lot of land, and it's not the first time. I'm sure they'll be fine.

Do people not want grimdarks for Nightmare Night? It's like you guys want happy upbeat stories for spooky season.

I do say so. If fans are this triggered over their ship getting destroyed, then they have serious issues.

I think you mistake the relationship not working out and this particular scene being used as the way it was "destroyed". It's fine they didn't become a couple. What isn't fine is the way they resolved it with this scene. There's no reason, especially during an upbeat song, to just show a devastated Marble. It makes literally no sense. Leave this out of the show and everything is fine.

Also it's poor form to judge others based on how much they care about things. I mean even Prince, arguably the biggest MLP musician made a song on this...

Regardless of how you feel, this was a brutal vindictive unnecessary scene.

I didn't like the whole "they MAY be related" shtick either. And maybe I'm just biased, but I would've liked more if Mac ended up with Marble. And this may sound strange, but I always felt like the creators thought that the mane 6 and their families "deserved better". The only one that ended with a partner was Pinkie, amd of course Cheese was voiced by a celebrity.
Not to mention the fact that they didn't had to create the whole "they are related" or "Big Mac likes Marble and vice versa". You can't have your cake and eat it too, authors.
So with all that said, I enjoyed the story
