Well, I have to say, for a first story, this looks like it's off a pretty decent start. Really good effort on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Definitely liked the introduction to Older Spike and his kids. The curiosity on both ends was quite understandable.
Looking forward to more of this.

Well, again, the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are well done. REALLY appreciated the dialogue Spike had with the Mane Group and the reaction to Sunny gaining the power to transform into an alicorn when needed and Earth Ponies now having more obvious magic beyond a greater sensitivity to the soil and increased strength. As well as Spike sharing at least some information on Opaline (at least enough to know that the dragons attacking Opaline themselves would only make her stronger as well as the smell concerning Opaline's work) and Izzy and Zipp's dialogue concerning genocide. And, yeah, concerning what Opaline probably did to his big sister and his former crush (as well as a mare who was nicer to him than any other and was most likely Discord's wife in all but official ceremony), it makes sense that Spike would have a MASSIVE grudge against Opaline.
Anyway, definitely looking forward to more of this.

OUCH. Oh, man that is a majorly emotional chapter. I have to say that I could see how Spike could be thinking about all that stuff (like how the war Opaline started cost so many lives [ponies and dragons alike] even AFTER the fact [including Mac being driven to suicide], how there was some lingering feelings of fear of older dragons among the ponies even at the height of Twilight's reign [and being worried that Sparky will eventually go through the same thing]) and be trying to explain the reasons that using lethal force is necessary against Opaline.
VERY definitely looking forward to more of this.
Again, this was a really great job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-ups. The dialogue between Sunny and Hitch concerning trusting Spike with Sparky was understandable under the circumstances and the dragons trying to re-connect with the dragons (with only the younger ones being small enough to fit into the pony buildings). Also liked the main group's reflections on each other both before and after magic returned.
Most assuredly looking forward to more of this.

Also, the whole “End of Chapter” thing at the end of each chapter is kinda cringe ngl.

Thanks, unfortunately, I have mostly had to learn grammar on my own.
Again, really good job on the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Certainly liked Smolder's dialogue with Izzy and could also understand how Alphabittle and Haven could have initial misunderstandings with the dragons (though at least Sunny and her friends were able to explain things before things got violent. Also appreciated Phyllis's confession and the reaction to that. Of course, I also liked Spike's explanation for how Sunny has the power to change into an alicorn when she needs to as the group was trying to get to the Elements.
Really looking forward to more of this.
