Well, I wouldn't say most, but it's not exactly uncommon either.
Also, since I didn't want to be just randomly commenting on bathroom carpets without reading the story, I quickly skimmed it. Noticed quite a lot of recurring punctuation errors--namely missing commas before direct address in dialogue, and lots of issues in direct speech. I can give you a quick overview of how these should be handled, if you want. (The same offer goes to your editor.)

Yeah, I'm still not the best at these stories as I'm still learning things but I'm getting the hang of things. Plus I did use grammarly to help with my stories for sometime now as well. But as long as people are reading them and enjoying them, that's what makes me happy in the end.

Story wise I lone me some angst I really do. I doubt there would be carpet in a bathroom. Unless it was a bath mat the blood dropped onto. Definitely a good story overall.

This story take places a few months after she takes over the throne. I kinda felt like since fim began before Eqg by 3 years, it would've made since what happened in their timeline wasn't around the same time many events occurred in fim. Just to name a few.
