What about normal humans?

You know, despite the fact that I love Magneto as much as I love Discord... they really don't work as the same character. Discord's zaniness doesn't fit at all with Magneto's dark background.

Also... wouldn't the fact that "John" doesn't look human be as much of an issue as him being Jewish? Erik Lehnsherr looked human... but the Nazis would have hated and despised a person who didn't look human, given what incredible racists they were against people who did look human but had darker skin than they did.

I thought the Mystique character was going to turn out to be Chrysalis, so I was a bit surprised to see it being Luna, but Luna is blue and the Celestia-Luna relationship might work out very well as the Charles-Raven relationship.

Weird having Cinch be Shaw when characters like Tirek, who absorbs magic, exist -- the only reason Erik wasn't able to kill Shaw was Shaw's ability to absorb energy, and Tirek and Discord actually have a history in MLP canon, whereas Cinch and Discord do not. I would definitely have made Shaw into either Tirek or Grogar.

Using the specific of a "coin" is also odd-- Discord has telekinesis, Magneto has magnetism. The coin was chosen specifically because Erik's magnetic powers should work on it. (In theory. Actually most coins aren't magnetic.)

I'll be interested in seeing where this goes.

The 1965 Bronx New York thing might be incorrect. Is it supposed to be 1945 Germany?
