No, no. I should be apologizing. I was the one who just blurted out asking whether or not it was a shipfic. I honestly see the VinylTavia pair as being able to fit anything, lovers, companions, roommates, rivals, friends, anything. The reason being that they are both musicians with contrasting interests, and completely unknown personalities, so anyone whatsoever could interpret the pairing any way they could.
