Oof. Let’s hope Pixel doesn’t think Nightmare Moon is really going to eat them.
You know I have had a thought that due to our universe’s lack of magic no one who is like Silvanus or Gerhardt can make a doorway to our world they could only observe us through a window and I wonder what Gerhardt would think of our world you know as there is no magic but also no what I would consider real spirits or gods and no real demons

Well, I personally believe in some of those things, definitely not in the way I have written them in this story but the point remains. Regardless I respect your opinion. As for what he would think, he would find our universe quite strange and fascinating due to its differences with his universe.
Sorry I'm not giving much more of a description than that. I just got my first vaccine today and I'm not feeling the best, so I'm not really in the mood for writing whole long essays right now.
Also, in this story angels and demons are spirits. There's no distinction between them and spirits in general because they are spirits themselves, spirits of good and evil respectively.
I realised something, my other comments were based on each type of god having similar soul bits to the other gods that set them apart from mortals.
I wonder if that Machine Spirit liked our guy because his heart was somehow more mechanical than a partially literal, mostly metaphorical, "ghost in the machine". Maybe it thought he was the Omnissiah or something.

I assume you're talking about the Machina Hominum? Well I'm probably never going to cover this particular topic in the story so I can tell you you're right, in a sense. Speaking from a purely mental standpoint he was indeed more of a machine than even them. Plus he was the most technologically inclined mortal they had ever met and had a greater love and understanding of technology than almost any other mortal in the world. Plus he treated them very respectfully and was able to communicate with them as the Machina Hominum communicate with eachother. So understandably that particular group practically viewed him as family.
Most actual spirits of technology that he met also tended to like him quite a bit for similar reasons. Gods and godesses of technology do also exist, especially in the Dwarven pantheon, but he never had a chance to meet any of them.

Nice. I just saw a chance to make a wh40k reference and took it.
Still waiting for Isabelle reaction when she learns how ponies butchered nature itself, how come that hasn't come up here with here living there for this long already or Gerhardt mentioning it?

Haven't found a good time or place to mention it yet. That's why. Same thing in the story. Gerhardt hasn't mentioned it yet because the topic has just never come up and there's never been a good opportunity to mention it. And she hasn't gone into the Everfree or met Zecora just yet.
I'm sorry. I know that would be an interesting plot point, but I don't want to try to force it if I can avoid it. I would prefer to integrate it into the story naturally if possible. :/

But the thing is how could she avoid it for so long, with how ponies nature control is engraved into their culture? Especially since Isabelle wants to learn about their culture.
It's like how long can you live in Saudi Arabia and not notice you can't eat pork there.

I definitely see your point. If anything my only excuse would be that she stays in the hospital most of the time and whenever she's not in the hospital she's either teaching Pixel about biomancy or at home enjoying her time off. Likely exploring some hobbies she's always had some interest in but hasn't had time to do anything with ever since she became a high lord. So she doesn't go outside as often and thus never sees the pegasi manipulating weather or anything to that effect.
I know it's a huge stretch but that's honestly all I've got. I don't want to skip over it but her reaction isn't going to be enough to write a full chapter about on its own, so I need to find a good place to fit it into the story without trying to force it.
