Hokaze is an interesting character to name drop. I had no idea who the fuck she was until I looked her up, and yeah, a member of Mental Out's group is not someone I would have recognized. And is "Kikane" supposed to be Kakine Teitoku? I couldn't find any character named "Kikane", but Kakine came up as a result when I googled it.

Touma, Accelerator and Hamazura are the main and backup protagonists from the main novel series. Misaka has her own side series of novels, and she, Accelerator, Hokaze and Kakine have their own spin-off mangas. Railgun and Accelerator have been adapted into animes, no word yet on Astral Buddy and Dark Matter is a one-shot for now.
Kanzaki, Itsuwa and Agnese are each protagonists for a magic-side side story novel, and Styil is protagonist for half of a side-story novel.
Basically White Player is listing the Raildex protagonists. (And yes, Astral Buddy starts with a gag panel of Misaki demanding to know why she isn't protagonist. I guess it must be petty revenge from the author for not getting to make Kuroko the protagonist of Railgun like they wanted...)

Isn't Railgun a Manga, not another novel series? And I know who the other characters are, but it's just been a while hence me not recognizing . Index season 3 wasn't great and kinda got me to stop caring for the most part? Didn't finish it as I'd already read the novels through the end of the original Index series. Railgun T and Accelerator I just kinda forgot about. Didn't know all these characters besides the main trio had spin-offs about them though. Just knew about Railgun and Accelerator.

Index 3 sucked, yeah. But Railgun T has been epic so far, you should definitely check that out.
Railgun is both a novel series (the Author publishes a volume every time Index gets an anime season, so 3 volumes so far) and a manga series. Railgun S stated outright that the start of the next season was going to cover the events of Railgun SS 1 ("Come on! We're off to Liberal Arts City!"), but Railgun T made that a lie.
I mean, I get it, the Level 6 SHIFT arc is epic, no arguments from me, but who didn't want to see a three-way fight between Misaka, an Aztec cabal and the US Air Force animated?!
So much use of "Once Upon A Time" in the series! ... Niiice!
