It was suppose to be a return flight home, but now it’s an unexpected dive into an unfamiliar world with unfamiliar inhabitants.

Tyler Myers finds himself on a surprise trip to Equestria after he’s been unexpectedly teleported from London to Canterlot. Maybe he’ll find the change of scenery quite nice. That is, if he survives his first encounter.

*Author note* Hi readers. I just wanted to say that this is my attempt at a Human in Equestia story. I’ve had this idea floating around in my head for a while, and I wanted to post the first chapter before I lost the nerve again. Please let me know what you think.

twas a fun read looking forward to the next chapter

This has a very Interesting start. I'm looking Forward to Reading more. pls do continue working on this.

It was going really good up until here

“Magic’s not working on this thing.”

:facehoof:
Seriously!? :twilightoops:
Then just how did magic bring it here??? :twilightangry2:
And magic was able to grab his backpack back when the chase began.

I get that folks like to level the playing field by making the guest starring monkey/ape/thing impervious to TK and such, but it really kills the mood for reading when the logic of how they get there fails, which interferes with how they can/cannot interact and forces the story to use all sorts of convoluted Dues ex Machina interventions to allow your OC to ever make escapes or wins possible.
Sorry if I'm coming off a little hard, this is an all-too-predictable trope to use. You've clearly got good writing skills, as well as great descriptions of the scenery and actions that you shouldn't need to give your OC an anti-magic skeleton key to help him slip out of his magical restraints.

I'll keep reading for now, at least to see if the story gets more appealing, but this is a major strike, unfortunately.

You’ve got a point there. In fact, some of my ideas for later scenes involved the character interacting with magic imbued items, but if he’s got some kind of natural null field, then it wouldn’t really work now would it? Like holding a magnet up to a stone. I’ll see about making some changes.

Thanks for the honesty, it’s a major help.

Thanks for not taking offense.
Of course humans aren't used to the magic field of Equuss, but that doesn't mean we should be immune to it.
Sure, it gives the ponies and other creatures a big advantage, but a good counter to that is we humans still have our ingenuity and predatory thinking--not to mention our hands and brains are our greatest sets of tools that work very well together. :moustache:
We can still give those overlord-wannabe equines plenty of hell in their own environment. :pinkiecrazy:

I'm looking forward to the chaos! :rainbowwild:

Does that title have anything to do with the board game because that crap is the funnest ( yes that’s an official word now) shit in all of board gaming

The synopsis confuses me... Did he fly to Equestria or drive there?

Short answer, teleportation magic.

Loved this. God pls don't stop with this Lol. I always loved Fanfiction like this. But some just kinda Start off Blend. Or start off good, than never finishes. And for what ever reason. Your story is really Interesting. Keep up with the good work! 👍
