Long before Luna betrayed her sister and became Nightmare Moon, another enemy came to Equestria. Its arrival was foretold with rain from the heavens and it wreaked havoc on the growing nation and its people. Much time has passed and the people of Equestria now live in ignorance of the ancient past.
