And I get the banana, but what's up with Chrysalis turning into a tree? Wait, is it a Christmas tree to match Thorax's "reindeer"-appearance?

May I suggest you change the title to "The Sun Has Fallen", or something similar? The current title isn't exactly... grammatically correct, and that will probably get you less readers.
