An interesting little story. Just one thing... Why candy? why shy was transformed into leaving candy specifically? It would have more sense if it was just a regular zombie instead of the candy mare.

That is an interesting question.
But i can easily explain it.
she is not living candy, she is actually part candy. The only organisms are her lungs; heart; and brain. The candeymare from my story is a bit more mature than the original story but is still insane regardless and yes she has candy guts for her to digest her food.
I admit it by the fact that I should have explained it a little bit better in the fic.
And no the equinox plague is not a zombie virus, nor was it zombie related. if you read the story, when she said that "it transforms you into monsters based off of your dark personas"
What it ment by that is that it will transform you into a monster based off of what ever dark emotions or mind you have, including your dark personas in the past that you have all ready let go, it can be whatever form of monster that it will turn you into.
And yes the equinox plague only spreads through smoke
For example. her monsterous candey form was based off of the fact that she had been struggling to get a job and had unloving parents. She suffered from depression. And the flesh eating was based off of the fact that she had been cold; hungry; and all alone;
Another example, let's say that rarity was infected by the same plague as the candey mare. and turns into a gorgon with 3 eyes, and she had the ability to turn people into stone

I am not saying it was a zombie plague but that probably it would have made more sense if it was just a zombie plague... Just saying.
With your logic, I have no idea but I guess it has to do with being pretty or the over-importance Rarity has with her self-image or something like that.

Both of thoes are related to candy because she was generous to everypony it's not because she can't get candey or food, in fact, she can actually make some. For herself and everypony. And no parents love has nothing to do with not getting candey, for it did not matter to her anyways.

I know what you said, again, no it's not a zombie plague, and it wouldn't even make scence for it to be one. for you can actually think clearly while the plague is corrupting your mind to the point of insanity, and yes there is a chance that you can be cured while you are in your monster form.
It would not make sence because usually a zombie plague would raise the dead, no the 28 days later zombies are not zombies. They are all infected people who were actually alive.

That is a good guess I'm not going to lie. But I will give you a hint, it has something to do with stress.

I mean c'mon! Sex is what let's your girlfriend (or you if your female. I hope It's not awkward.) Birth to your pun chiled, and that is what keeps ouer pun sources alive from extinction!
For example Blog of the missing entry 3 has mentioned that the outer gods was breeding with the townsfolk of insideroth to give birth to more dark ones. But there was no mentioning of sex, it was implied that sex happened, but that did not count as porn.

I was saying to bad hamster that just because it has sex in a fanfic (or that it was implied sex) does not automatically mean that it's porn.
I like to give a better example, God of War 3 (yes I am a fan of the god of war franchise) and the sexy were Aphrodite was breeding with kratos, but the camara turns away from them. Usually in the God of War games the camara turns away from him and points to somewhere else to either a pot shaking, a statue pissing in God of War 2, or even a statue falling. But in God of War 3 the camera has pointed to two half naked women in the scene. Does that mean that god of war 3 is porn? No, It's not!

Hmmm... yea I like it more this time, the grammar improves and you empathize more parts on the story that needed to be to make the story more clear. Now the virus seems to be more than of a magic curse than an actual virus which was my bigest complain but I will probably ditch the Joker quote from the description. It really doesn't fit with a story about a deadly virus infection.
And I would like to know more about what she meant by poisoned candy? What is the story behind that? But I guess that was meant to be unknown.

I suspect poisoned candy was a callback to the original story, in which leftover candy from the Candymare causes several of the characters to explode.

The poison candey is not really a callback to the original story, allthough it is a good idea I like to admit. The poisoned candey part was based off of the myth that if you eat the candey it would make you expload, whitch is a myth.
And saying the candey is poisoned is like saying that you mix both soda and pop rocks together makes you expload, it's bullshit. And It's bullshit in the infected saga and I will explain why at some point. I'm saying "at some point." Because i'm trying to find the right time to explane.
But that myth would be a good idea.
And I will admit I will like to make some callbacks of the original fic. Like the candeymare forming claws out of peanut brittle, the idea is that I want to give her the ability to make melee weapons out of her entire body (Simaler to Alex Mercer from prototype.)And she's going to look different, but simaler to the original. She also has original colors as well. I like to give illastrations to the fic of what my version of the candeymare would look like.
Because the candeymare from the infected saga, is a separate entity to knackerman's candeymare.
Knackerman's candeymare is childish by personality and insanity, and was an exparament of a scientist.
My version of the candeymare is a fully grown mare and is mature, but is still insane regardless , and she was transformed by the equinox plague, and the plague does belong to the virus category, but it does not mean it is a curse. Because a plague is an infectious disease. The plague had gave her supernatural abilities.
Both of them are completely different then each other, but they are both look equally similar.
So... Is her name spelled Candy Mare or candeymare?
