I wonder who will counselling Wild Growth on anger management? If Psychic Calm did it, Wild could do it in her sleep. I also wonder if the government will discourage the company developing the pony strap from finding a way to strap guns to pony forelimbs.

The product does become a success. If you are reading Aftermath you'll notice it is used a few times. Tonya (the crystal pony) uses one, and they gave them to Sunny and Goldie as well. The Pony Wand, which provides things like a virtual keyboard, is an accessory to the Pony Strap though it hadn't been put into development yet as of this point.
I was wondering when the pony strap would come into play. I'm happy it ended up being Wild Growth's and not Sunset Blessing's company. Wild Growth is gonna be on Shark Tank one day at this rate! Now I want to see her hulk smash on Kevin Oleary.

I did remember reading about the Pony Strap and the Pony Wand in the other story. What I was wondering about was how the US government would react to any attempt to weaponize the idea, in order to allow Earth ponies to use guns. In other words, is the US government at all worried about the possibility of internal war with the ponies, and therefore wants to limit the ponies military potential? Or is this not really an issue yet?

At this point it would be generally frowned on anyone making guns for the Pony Strap. They can't just slap any gun into that and expect it to work either. Even if they could attach a gun that doesn't give them access to the trigger. They'd have to have specially designed guns if they aren't trying to pull triggers in very uncomfortable ways (tongue is a possibility, or a night pony wing thumbs, unicorns already can of course but maintaining an even levitation on the gun while trying to pull the trigger with magic many would have trouble with even though many others wouldn't).

I agree that manually pulling the trigger is not a easy task for ponies. So I'd expect allowing ponies to use guns might require the development of a small wearable computer to actually fire the gun (as opposed to aiming the gun). But the development of the pony wand, which lets ponies use hoof movements to control computers, suggests to me that this is feasible.

Oh it's definitely feasible. It's just a matter of someone actively deciding to make something with a trigger mechanism that all ponies could easily use. The government would indeed frown on that. Right now unicorns are the only ones who can with ease, night ponies could do it with practice with the thumbs on their wings but would need an easy way to hold the gun while pulling the trigger which would be make the entire thing pretty awkward and impractical, every other pony type pulling a trigger would be an enormous hassle.

Bigger issue would be managing a firearm's recoil pattern. If you've ever fired a handgun, you'll know that certain calibers play hell on your wrists, and doubly so if you're not holding the firearm properly. This is a slightly less prevalent issue with long guns (rifles and shotguns) by virtue of differences in structure and design, but the end result is the same: ignoring that ponies are collectively less likely to be inclined to own/use a gun, you are right that the prospect is not the most feasible thing in the world

Think that falls under the grounds of properly holding the gun still. Even if they had some sort of grip on it with hooves that's really not going to be steady or sure enough to deal with the recoil. The entire thing needs to be redesigned for it to be workable, and at this stage in the timeline no one is going to be designing pony guns, and aside from some ponies that deal with law enforcement (and a few others in rather extreme personal circumstances) most ponies aren't going to be interested in having a gun anyway.
