I know Sunset Blessing is not ment to be in reference to anyone but she just keeps reminding me of every politician I detest and if any of them where to die I would celebrate. This just confirms to me that she needs to be delt with now before she amasses to much power and she goes on a massive power trip
At least the differences between the ponies in the west and elsewhere are being noticed. I doubt anything could be done to address those differences, but as we have seen in the main story, it may lead to tensions down the road.
As for Sunset Blessing, she seems to be coming off as a double edged sword. Yes she’s pushing for interactions between humans and ponies which may be extremely beneficial, but her ideals are questionable and long term goals may not ultimately be achievable.
I enjoyed this chapter, in part because it opened up some interesting ways the story could develop if or when Halira writes a sequel. In some ways, Number Crunch is a rather bad influence on Wild Growth, and not just because of the smoking and drinking. By having her live in a huge palace and wearing expensive human style clothing, she is separating Wild from the great majority of ponies. It will make it harder for the average pony to relate to Wild. It may in time lead to "growing" resentment towards her from some other ponies, although Wild's strongly generous nature may allow her to remain popular with at least some ponies, despite her vastly greater wealth.
Equestrian ponies are likely to see Wild's extravagant lifestyle as an attempt to imitate the Princesses. (How does the size of Wild's home compare to Twilight's castle, for instance?) The fact that Wild doesn't understand how the economic power she is acquiring could allow her to accidently hurt others is also worrying.
Attending a night pony trial (with a half a million witnesses?) will impress on Wild just how powerful Phobia really is, and might make her think Phobia should really be on the board of the SPEC, in order to make sure Night Pony interests are properly represented. Assuming she could persuade Phobia to join, she might have some difficultly persuading the other board members, given that she'd not be able to explain precisely why Phobia is so important.
I also wonder if Wild might have the ability to learn dreamwalking, and might learn of this thanks to her attendance at this trial? If the author is considering making Wild a potential Alicorn, she might have it, since Twilight was told that she, as an Alicorn, had the potential.

A pair of exerts from the sequel just to describe the mansion. Subject to change of course, if I actually get around to writing the sequel. There really isn't any spoiler her so can be shared without giving any details of the story away.
Hope that job interview goes well. I know that not having a job can be draining. Odd how that is not having something to do is more exhausting than having to work.
Still enjoying your story. I much prefer the Slice of Life angle of what you are doing. Truth is I lost interest in Pandemic: Aftermath. Don't know why really just lost interest.

I think Aftermath is slow on the buildup and with long chapters and slower releases it can get a little frustrating for people eager to get to the big events. This is going to be less an issue once it's done and people can just read through, but for right now I can see where some people are feeling the drag. It's a very good work, but it takes it's time building things up and the release schedule makes that seem all the longer.
My own work takes it's time as well, but the faster release schedule makes it seem quicker paced than it actually is. It's hard to believe I am 70+ chapters in and well over 300,000 words. That's a ton of content I've covered and I had to regretfully cut some plotlines I originally planned so they wouldn't slow the pace of the story further. Mainly things involving Megan, Dan, and Melissa since those are more outliers from the central plot--with Megan taking the heaviest hits in terms of cut content.
