Well, you haven't exactly deviated from the old tired trope yet. I mean, "the SI is also the author who the SI meets, only to find they (the author) are slaved to the story they are writing" is an ancient trope that has been done... well, a lot.

There are a lot of mutations of it, ranging from "not actually the author, but a form the mind can comprehend" to "literally the person typing this" but it is still all the same bleh trope.

Look, I don't know what you're planning and I won't pretend to. I just felt really disappointed by the reveal after all that build up and am kinda venting.

Fair enough, I'm not sure exactly what it was you were hoping for, but sorry the build up didn't live up to the hype. I know the trope has been done before, it wouldn't be a trope if it wasn't. That said, I don't think all tropes are bad, and this is a trope I happen to like.

Sorry if it's not your thing, but imma do what imma do. That said, I do hope you stick around cause I have a lot more story to tell beyond this 'tired' trope.
