An idea I had while watching my children play with toys: my daughter yelling at my son that his little space marines wouldn't shoot poor Princess Celestia because she is nice.
I am glad to add my offering to existing Warhammer 40,000 / My Little Pony fanfiction.
This takes place shortly after the destruction of Cadia, and middle of season 2 in My Little Pony.

Aw. I am sorry to hear that. By "The start" do you mean the opening part before the introduction of the human character? I was trying to go for a point of view that was weird. Since I am posting this on a My Little Pony site, I didnt think starting with the traditional "Only the laughing of dark thirsting Gods" that 40k fiction normally starts with was 'friendly' enough.
If it is any consolation: that framing device will not be making a return!

In all that though, I do like how this is now concurrent with 8th Edition 40k. Since the beginning is set during the Great Exodus.
I blame all the wibbly wobbly stuff on the opening of the Cicatrix Maledictum and the Noctus Aeterna.
Though from the opening description, your daughter doesn't know 40k that well. Or is very optimistic, ala Fluttershy level.

She is four, so her understanding is definitely Fluttershy-esque, my son, however, is well and truly in love with Warhammer. He likes the necrons because they are easy to paint, but my Cataphractii Terminators are his favorite.

The story is probably going to stay in Equestria for the next few chapters, but depending how far I can maintain my momentum and inspiration... I have some plans on where this could go.

But mecanicus are no better, one time when techpriest heard that there is necron tomb under promethium storage sou he went in with small group to investigate for omnisiah and got his group butchered and giving necrons info that there were humans on the planet. Thankfully Ciaphas cain flooded tomb with promethium and resulting explosion could be seen from orbit. Thous organisations cannot work together because l wouldn't want to be even at that system if that would happen.

A grenadier is usually any soldier equipped with a grenade launcher. In some militaries, it can be a catch-all term for a siege specialist.

Wow this was really well written, this is my favorite warhammer crossover story on here I’ve read definitely wish more was done with this idea.
